Cause my opponent took me down to FG and LnPd me, I reversed it and took his back... then ref forces ME to stand up and fight in such a dominant position? I punched him, making him pay for taking me down and the ref stand us up? Lol that can't be real.

Quick question...
Is there a ref stand up for full guard post patch?

Alright then it's all good I was just perplexed how fast the ref stood us up in such a dominant position.Comment

Re: Quick question...
I think they stand you up from backsitting too soon as well. shouldn't be at all imo but I'm sure others will disagree

Re: Quick question...
I was talking about the back sitting position and it is too soon indeed. There should be no stand up at all in that position(if I'm active) no ref would ever stand you up in that position only an insane one. It's only one transition away from taking mount. I was perplexed after the stand up.I think they stand you up from backsitting too soon as well. shouldn't be at all imo but I'm sure others will disagree

Re: Quick question...
I had a stand up last night just as I reversed his dom full guard to my dom full guard and was stood up immediately but I think the ref was getting ready to stand us up right before I hit the reversal so it may have still triggered the stand up

Re: Quick question...
So take the mount or try choke, because in back sitting you cant do any serious damage, its pretty much same like laying in full guard top position.so do something.Comment

Re: Quick question...
It’s actually nothing like that . U have someone’s back lol it’s a dangerous position and should never be stood up .Comment

Re: Quick question...
I hate MMA stand ups in general, both in real life and the videogame. Like why is it OK to just make fighters stand up and start striking? Imagine if a fighter was being real elusive and boring on the feet, and the ref just made the fighters go to the ground. That would be crazy, you can't just move them to the ground. It's the same with stand ups to me. You can't just move them back to striking.
Way I see it, if one of the fighters doesn't like the position they're fighting from, they can change it themselves. If they're incapable of doing so, then they don't deserve to win.
Same with the "fans". If they don't like the position the fighters are fighting from, they can go watch another sport.
It's like if Mayweather was being real defensive in boxing, and the ref made him back up to the ropes so his opponent can wail on him. You can't just artificially adjust a fight as punishment for "inactivity".
If you can compete against a professionally trained fighter, and win while being "inactive", then perhaps your opponent deserves to lose. It's like on the videogame, I get a message "you got no standup, you literally didn't do anything the whole fight". I just respond "so you lost to a guy with no stand up, who didn't do anything the whole fight?"

Re: Quick question...
But on topic, stand ups are inherently flawed on this game from sprawl position. If you end up in top sprawl position, you get a brief window to safely transition. After that window passes, the bottom guy gets full GA without doing anything, so the top guy can't do anything but punch. So all the bottom guy has to do is just sit there and wait for a standup and the guy on top can't do anything about it.
Stand ups are harsh in general now (stand ups from back control? Wtf?), but sprawl is the worst because you actually CAN'T be active from there.

Re: Quick question...
I agree this new standup thing in the game is against against grapplers . Ppl just sit in sprawl waiting to easily block a transition to backside or till the ref stands it up now . It takes so much away from the ground game . Now u don’t even have to try and get out of a position by transitioning . All u have to do is sit hold block and wait for the ref to stand it up like this isn’t ok. There should be no stand ups in this game at allComment
