I guess I don't understand how this particular issue was exploited. Is there some cheese with certain routes that involves throwing to the X reciever and causing it to be a guaranteed catch for the B reciever or something?
I mean, this is something that goes to the very root of football... once the ball is in the air it's pretty much a free-for-all... everybody but the OL can legally get in on that action. Making it impossible for the five other legally eligible offensive players to catch a tipped / inaccurately thrown pass just isn't football.
