RTTS how to get 4th pitch?

Okay so got a good start going in my RTTS starting pitcher, but not seeing anyway to add a 4th pitch. Does anyone know if/how/when this is possible?

It's been a while, but I think you press triangle when looking at your pitch attributes screen. There is a cost to adding a new pitch, so be careful. I forget how much it is, but I know that previous iterations of the show started you with enough points to get a fourth pitch right away.

fyi, you should probably be asking a question like this in the Q&A thread. Things get busy this time of year and the cleaner we can keep the main forum the better.

I got my fourth pitch about halfway through year two as a training option.

Do your secondary pitches improve by playing?

SDS is aware of the bug where the control and break of the secondary pitches are not improving and they say it will be fixed. Not sure when though.

It took me a while to figure this out. The only way to get new pitches is to wait till your in the MLB. Which you can then use a training day to learn a pitch one of your randomly selected teammates have. So yes you will be brought upto the MLB as a 3 pitch player and if your an SP you will get your *** kicked because of this if you go with the usual start up of 2 FB's and on off speed pitch. Also if you a looking to make a plyer with some of the odd-pitchs that are not common like say the forkball(I am tired of half my guys having splitters) then you need to select that pitch at the start or be at the mercy of whomever is one your team. I just said to hell with this and loaded up a player from MLB 17. I think this is one of the dumbest design decisions they could have made. I could see not getting a new pitch your first year and training it over the winter months but this...good lord they hired a twat when they came up with this idea.
