    New York Yankees #OSFM

With the great news about OSFM I figured this was due...

One of my favorite parts of the show each year is figuring out the optimal 90 for the Yankee roster. I always use OSFM as my base.

This is my thought for this year based on the opening day organization set up.

    I try to include
All MLB, all AAA, most AA (starting lineup), all Nonroster invites who are still with organization, top 25 of concensus prospects.

Updated roster 4/5/18 - notes are on post on next page.

The Russell Wilson addition is cute, lol.

I wouldn't mind having him in the minors, see who gets to the bigs first - Wilson or Tebow

I always throw a few guys in the FA as alternates/fantasy. I had to laugh because as of yesterday he’s listed on Trenton’s roster.

Looking forward to your rosters, as always. I always have such a hard time deciding who I should leave out of the 90-man rosters.

I'll be working on my rosters tonight. I like to play with 40-man and real contracts so what I'll likely do is upload some of the guys to the vault.

I'm also gonna update what I have in the top area for changes I made to what I originally posted.

The only tweaks I usually make are adjusting for levels. The default young guys are usually rated based on minimal MLB performance last year so like German and Andujar should be rated as AAA players and not 50-55.

I'm with you, I can't stand seeing guys rated in the 40s and 50s who have already reached the majors. When will you be uploading your roster/CAPs?

LOL I am so sick of hearing about those 2 guys, Tebow was never a good NFL player and never will play in the majors yet for some reason we get so much talk on this guy and I don't get it! the attention on this guy is a joke

Russell Wilson I am come on don't waste a roster spot on this guy in the 90 we only have

If you looked I have him as an possible alternate...which means he goes in the FA pool. Don't use him if you don't want to lol.

                Here's where I stand:

I'm using the 40-man real contract roster that's available.

With Asche,Thompson and Camarena added to the team I have 85 players included on the roster who will likely stay. There are 8 guys I am currently in the process of trying to track down because they are in the organization but haven't been assigned to a team yet.

P Brady Lail, 2B Jonathan Diaz, OF Junior Soto, P Chaz Hebert, P Adonis Rosa, 1B Matt Snyder, Devyn Bolanski, C Kellin Deglan.

If I can't verify they where they are they likely will go to FA. Lail, Soto, Hebert and Rosa are likely in Extended Spring. I'm not sure the other 4 are sticking (Side Note: Why are Bolanski and Gosuke Katoh added to these rosters each year?)

I have 31 "MLB" guys due to injuries, 24 "AAA", 17 "AA" and 13 "A". The AAA players not created are P's Josh Rogers, Brody Koerner, Cody Carroll. I'll probably add those guys since my rule of thumb is all AAA players. (I have a Rogers and Carroll from another roster I can use.)

On AA I try to make sure the starting lineup is there and a good portion of the staff. The rest of the AA team (~10 guys) are guys who don't fit on the AAA team (since there a 6 extra MLB) and prospects.

Of the prospects I have noted OF Everson Pereira, Carroll, P Juan DePaula I'd like to get included along with Ps Trevor Lane, Nick Nelson and OF Canaan Smith.

(Obvious issues with the rosters --- Domingo Acevedo and Albert Abreu need tweaks to their potentials.)

Sounds great. Any chance you could upload the entire roster to the vault? I'd really like to add as many guys as I can.

Btw, for some help, here are the full minors rosters for each level:

I was using River Avenue as part of figuring it out but it wasn't quite right. Basically, I had to use about 4 sources to get stuff right.

I did change a few ratings from the OSFM but the only MLB guy I changed I believe was Didi to boost the power a bit. I made him as powerful as Neil Walker. (If you want the original you can just check what he is on the default). Again my tweaks are balancing and not boosting. I try to decrease somebody for each increase I make and they are just to balance out the ratings.

I also decided to go with "Opening Day" so Asche is with the Royals, Thompson a FA and Camarena with the Cubs. It allowed me to add a couple more minor leaguers.

Here's the updated list with ratings:
                    C Gary Sanchez 91
                    C Austin Romine 64
                    1B Greg Bird 69

The guys in the FA list are...
Adonis Rosa, Francisco Diaz, Gosuke Katoh, Matt Snyder, Devyn Bolaski, Kellin Deglan and Jonathan Diaz. (They replaced Kelvin Marte, Cesar Valdez, Kyle Zimmer, Shea Spitzbarth, Jose Medina, Evan Van Hossier, Max White)

I think the last decision I need to make is that I have Chaz Hebert in A ball but he's 25 and terrible and I have plenty of pitchers. Eliminating the pitchers I have

Canaan Smith, Isaiah Gilliam and Saul Torres on the "prospect list" and Mandy Alvarez, Vince Conde and Ben Ruta are potentially on rosters.

I'm leaning towards Isaiah Gilliams, thoughts?

(If you want the original you can just check what he is on the default). Again my tweaks are balancing and not boosting. I try to decrease somebody for each increase I make and they are just to balance out the ratings.

I also decided to go with "Opening Day" so Asche is with the Royals, Thompson a FA and Camarena with the Cubs. It allowed me to add a couple more minor leaguers.

The guys in the FA list are...
Adonis Rosa, Francisco Diaz, Gosuke Katoh, Matt Snyder, Devyn Bolaski, Kellin Deglan and Jonathan Diaz. (They replaced Kelvin Marte, Cesar Valdez, Kyle Zimmer, Shea Spitzbarth, Jose Medina, Evan Van Hossier, Max White)

I agree about Hebert. I removed him from my roster, as well. At best he'll fill in at Trenton or Scranton if they need a spot starter, but he's not an actual prospect.

Also, Trayce Thompson just got claimed off waivers by the A's so you're good there.

I may fix up it more using the stance/equipment tweaks from the board eventually.
