Legendary Roster Series

I've been working on these rosters off and on for a few years, with the goal of completing a 64-team tournament of the greatest college football teams ever assembled. A few notes before I list off the completed teams.

- I've covered college basketball and football for 11 years, most notably for theScore, MSN, the Fox Sports Media Network and USA Today.

- I absolutely love simulation series and recently completed one over at Krossover, a sports tech company in NYC. That series was centered around the best college alumni rosters. You can check that out here.

- Finally, I've come to really respect those involved in roster building here at OS and would love any and all constructive feedback on the rosters I've completed. The process for each team is pretty grueling and includes watching full games on YouTube, digging through archives for rosters and media guides and matching nearly every player's appearance to photos. To that end, if you really love any of these teams, I'd love to hear about how you think they play in the game.

Ok, now onto the progress I've made.

*UPDATED ON April 17th, 2018*

Teams I'm Hoping To Add Soon:

2004 Cal
1998 Tennessee
1982 SMU
2010 TCU

Ideally, I'd like to check off all the BCS Busters teams first. Either way, it's a lot of fun to mess around with these rosters in a tournament setting. I set it up recently with 16 of the Legendary Teams and used historic campus sites (Michie Stadium, Camp Randall, Liberty Bowl) and one oddball location (Kibbie Dome) for the first round and then minor bowls for the Elite 8, before using the Rose, Sugar and Cotton Bowl for the final 3 games. '04 USC escaped in the Elite 8 against '94 Penn State and cruised the rest of the way.

Let me know how your tournaments shake out, looking forward to hearing from everyone.
