Realistically, Pens should be favored but I think we’ll give you guys all you can handle. A strong 6 or 7. Hoping we can pull the upset. No waltz to the Cup this year at least.

Hopefully this Golf Channel thing is only for round 1 and is limited to those two games. It's the only channel in the NBC family I don't get.

Imagine, if you will, a hardcore sports fan from April 2014 somehow time-traveled to the present. How would that conversation go?

"Hmm, no. The Sharks and Caps pulled some pretty big chokes. The last 4 Cup champs were LA, the Blackhawks, and then back-to-back for Pittsburgh. The Bruins will probably win this year."

Are you joking? I can't even believe this. That'd be like the Amen Corner at the Masters broadcast being on NHL Network.

The worst part about it is that I won't be able to watch replays of the Thurs-Friday early round action at the RBC Heritage in prime time.

Addendum: Well, doc, when you put it that way.....jeez the NHL makes itself hard to like sometimes...
