I went to Swing Mechanic Advanced and Swing Difficulty Hard from the get go and it is still too easy for my liking.

Interesting. I guess you simply aren't deviating your swing from close [enough!] to perfection much of the time if ever, and their definition of perfection is a little loose. I certainly get into spurts of that for a good part of a game or a whole game, but then it goes as is always the case in RL golf for everyone who plays. A little loss of focus, or something else, and I can push or pull shots and those settings don't let you get away w/ that very much by comparison to simpler modes. If this isn't possible for you, then I can see where that would be unfortunate for you for this game. If you were a beta tester, did you convey this to them so they could modify a few other variables and increase difficulty? Surely they could have tweaked a few more variables and defined perfection a little tighter, but apparently from what you're saying that didn't happen in this game.

How did you do w/ mouse TruSwing? I loved that swing mechanic and thought it gave a great amount of subtle shot shaping control during the swing but I could go south on that as well enough to keep me on my toes. One thing's for certain--there are a whole lot more ways to screw up a golf swing in RLG over this activity!

I'd like to see you perform sometime in an online game w/ max settings to give me some inspiration. I shot +16 the first 18 holes of those settings, but did shoot -7 in competition at Bay Hill but that was only after setting Swing Diff back to Normal and left Mechanic at advanced, which is clearly much easier, but about right for me at the moment.

How long did it take you to master the SWING when you first acquired it? It's really all about making perfect swings all the time because the rest is just knowing golf and how to adjust for conditions. Console JS' are new to me so that is a factor at the moment as well.

Another way to add challenge is to create a new player w/ low attributes so you can no longer smack it 350y down the fairway.

IMO it would be great to have slider based settings for swing and putting mechanism. E.g., instead of having 'Easy', 'Medium', 'Hard', 'Advanced' etc. settings, it would be better to have a slider based setting ranging from 0 to 100 where 0 is for noobs where it's rare to get a poor swing and 100 where everything needs to be perfect to get you a decent swing. Same with putting so you are not tied to the same settings for both and can customize swing and putting gameplay experience as per your liking.

We will go to Oakmont, keep the winds up to 15-20, and lets see if you can back up the common claim that it is too easy to beat the game. I'm having a hard time believing this and of course it may well be because me and brother just aren't that good yet at what is required to move the JS in the tightest tolerances all of the time. PM me, and I'll find time to watch--you'll have to wait for me to keep up because on those settings it's a bit too much for me! Xbox version.

Just so you know, I would have been happy to take you up on this, but I was on PS4 version and I also just sold the unit.

Rory & NHL was all I was going to do with it and Rory didn't stick and I actually prefer NHL Legacy on PS3 to the newer ones (so far).

I can't speak for others, but please trust me when I say it was too easy for me. I actually hate it when sports games are too easy as I just have no fun "not earning" my good scores. I truly have no reason to make it up or play that angle, as it was really frustrating to me and was the initial impetus to make me bail on Rory and sell the PS4 and move on.

The fact that I have played through 3 full seasons on PGA TOUR career mode with THE hardest settings and never lost a tournament, usually winning by 10 strokes or more is all the proof that is needed.

I simply called BS on your claim, then gave you a golden opportunity to disprove this, and you declined w/ the lamest of all excuses: 'I don't have time to play silly games...' I'll up it one more: I'll give you 10 to 1 odds you can't shoot -12 at Oakmont in 20mph winds, and I'll back it up w/ a Paypal payoff directly to you when you shoot your claimed average score of -12. I'd pay $10 just to see you do it if you're the pinball wizard you portray. But it's really challenging, and I think my bet would be secure. And I'll be the first to congratulate you and retract any further BS claims if you can meet the challenge.

I am not interested in your "challenge".

I do not need to justify my thoughts and opinions of the game to you or anyone. Not sure why you disrespect opinions of the game that don't match yours.

I was one of many asking for more challenge when the game was released and continuing until EA stopped updating the game. They never upped the challenge of the swing on the most challenging levels, therefore I lost interest in the game.

I realize that you are having a real problem with anyone claiming the game is too easy for them, but these persistent challenges and accusations are about the silliest things I have witnessed in an internet forum.

When I quit playing, I looked for a more challenging game and found it with Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. WAY more challenging that RM by a long shot.

I am now playing The Golf Club 2 which I find equally challenging to JNPG and WAY more challenging than RM.

Please feel free to drop this persistent, ridiculous nonsense.

It is MY opinion about the game.
