you can download the base game in the xbox store.. it doesn't show up in my EA access app either but the base game is free for ea access members on the store

I'm digital only and this is the lowest it'll probably ever be and that's tempting.

The problem is, every year Madden drops to $12 I always hold off because I never really feel its good enough to warrant a purchase and that's how I've ended up with no football games since this gen started lol.

well i bit on it with a 20% off code on pen so it was 9.50

I figure ill play this one for a few years, then get 20 or 21.

I don't like getting the game every year unless it has year to year saves like The Show

Stop playing this game in the fall, just not fun anymore. Same old, same old. Why even spend $12 on game I will not play, that price let's you know the resale market also flooded, believe saw GS preowned was even cheap, and plenty of games. Who is playing this game still? Assuming just online and MUT? Offline AI a joke and CPU franchise same old.

Now NBA 2k16 I just got for $3.99 at GS, loved that game, and 2k18 I just didn't enjoy gameplay wise against cpu. This year buying nada of the 19 release games anytime soon, will wait till all games are patched and then see feedback game is getting. When people are still tweaking sliders and settings past January, you know offline experience is trash.

I think it's worth it. I played a ton in the fall and then took a break and i've been playing every day since the beginning of march. Great game. Especially for so cheap.

I think with EA's penchant to release Madden before it is properly tested and tuned, more and more offline Franchise Mode players will purchase the game late in the cycle. That way, folks can set up their sliders, download an updated roster and enjoy the game without the constant interruption of tuners and patches being mandated. Thus, they will continue to play the game on a "1 year behind" basis.

I really enjoyed playing M17 this past year doing as such, so this may be something I'd be willing to do, unless M19 is a vast improvement.

I hear ya. I'm thinking you're right. If 19 comes out and is a another disappointment, 18 should be easy to find cheap at Gamestop or Ebay.

I can’t decide if I should bite or not. I usually go out around draft time and pick up a copy but I always end up going back to the PS2 era. I don’t feel like shuffling through slider sets for hours trying to find one that reflects a bit of realism, only to be able to complete 80% of my passes or for ratings to be completely irrelevant.

I haven’t kept up with anything Madden related since launch week. What’s everyone’s opinion on it now that it’s so cheap?
