We’re deploying another patch today to take care of some high-priority issues.

<li>Added an option in the Settings hub (under a new section called “Motion”) to change tracking behavior back to how it worked at launch</li>
<li>Fixed an issue where Grudge Match Tri-Tip’s score did not count toward the Elite Champ trophy (if you already meet the score requirement, simply play Grudge Match Tri-Tip – win or lose, you should receive the trophy)</li>
<li>Fixed an issue where scores would not be reported to the global leaderboard</li>
<li>Fixed an issue that caused Reflex Alley to crash after extended play sessions</li>
<li>Fixed an issue where hands failed to assign properly to the Move controllers, causing erratic tracking behavior</li>

After a few months of using PSVR to watch videos and play games like Skyrim, Far Point, GT Sport, MLB HR Derby, and basically every free demo out there, I'm just going to say it. I'm disappointed. For as much as this thing costs, the graphics are atrocious and they completely take me out of the experience. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, I guess the tech just isn't where I thought it was.

Just my opinion. I'm going to keep playing because I have had fun with it, it's just the experience isn't where I thought it would be. Also, I feel like this is one of those things where devs are churning out a lot of quick garbage and those are the games with really cruddy graphics. Far Point was cool.

I haven't gotten to Doom VR or Batman VR yet but will.

It’s a budget headset. It cost thousands to put together a PC rig and fix the graphics issue.

I'm not sure if its graphics that's got him disappointed as much as the resolution he maybe referring too instead.

The Inpatient is graphically amazing in vr as is Robinson The Journey. Its in other areas that the developers failed to deliver in but the immersion sucks you in.
Far Point provides some of the best single and multi-player shooters you can play and is comparable to non vr titles in display and effect, and Moss is a story book wonderland that will blow your mind. Star Wars X wing fighter and Batman are also amazing graphical play through. There are many others so it can be done.

Many of the good games had development time and like you said, there's always those who look to find quick money grabs.



New info on Firewall: Zero Hour which we should be hearing more about soon. Here's hoping they won't screw this one up but its high on my list of wants.

New Star Trek: Bridge Crew DLC brings The Next Generation to PS VR on 22nd May

We added the Enterprise (NCC-1701D) bridge and rebalanced our game to accommodate its new capabilities, we replaced the engineering position with a new role called “Operations” on the 1701D bridge (it’s now my personal favourite position) which focuses on crew management and maximizing ship buffs.

We’ve added Romulans, we’ve put in the Borg, created TNG-era uniforms, gave players the ability to make their avatars Soong-type androids, put in new shield modulation and precision phaser fire mechanics, took a pass through our play spaces so that more solar systems will be utilized by Ongoing Voyages (our randomized Starfleet mission generator), and added two new Ongoing Voyages (“Resistance” and “Patrol”) complete with new voice work and unique mission mechanics.

Oh, and we also threw in some fan favourites such as a fully functional Planet Killer, complete with deadly anti-proton beam.

So yeah, we’re adding a lot, and we think fans (old and new) are going to really have a great time playing through it all. A lot of very talented and smart people worked very hard on this, and I couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Japan Display, a joint venture between Sony, Hitachi, and Toshiba, today announced separate 1,001-pixel-per-inch (PPI) and 803PPI displays specifically designed for VR use. While the new screens boast visual improvements that set the stage for a second-generation PlayStation VR, they also hint at a future market trend in VR design: lower-size, lower-weight headsets.

Unlike the current PSVR screen — a single 5.7-inch, 1,920 by 1,080 panel that uses OLED technology — both of the new screens are eye-specific LTPS TFT-LCDs, featuring “IPS designed for VR.” Notably, only the higher-end 1,001PPI screen can match the current PSVR’s 120Hz refresh rate, as the lower-end 803PPI screen has a maximum 90Hz refresh rate — enough for most VR apps, but with higher system latency.
