Definitely early, of course, but I had some ideas about MyCareer this morning that I had to share.
Of course tendencies and the logic in MyCareer needs to improve, but as far as features within MyCareer, a couple things I'd like to see are:
-The calendar make a comeback. Dont know why this was taken out, but I was a fan of it last year. I liked how endorsement events, practices, games, everything was all put onto the schedule and really made you manage time within the mode. As it is right now you will always be able to complete everything, which just isnt reality IMO. Plus with the calendar it made more practices available which made the grind a bit more tolerable.
-The big thing I came up with was to expand on the pre-game shootaround, give us the ability to participate in morning shootarounds and extra shootarounds a couple hours before game-time, all inside the arena of your next game. For morning shootarounds, I want staff rebounding basketballs for us or passing to us in mini-drills with other players going through mini-drills or shooting around as well. Make it like the extra practices last year where players could enter or exit shootaround on their own. IMO it's unrealistic that our MyPlayer is always the last one on the floor for practice.
For shootarounds a couple hourse before gametime, make it a mix of pre-game shootaround and morning shootaround, where players from both teams shoot on their side of the court, players can enter and exit on their own, and I want to see the crowd slowly start to enter the arena, maybe show them walking to their seat, sit down and watch, get up and walk to the concourse, or walk to the first row and take pictures. This can also be where cutscenes happen with the NBA players, and maybe allow us to walk over the rope and sign autographs (slightly increasing our fan totals)
For pre-game shootaround, I want to see our player run out onto the court with the rest of the team to start shootaround. From there it continues as is.
-To add to the part above, make it so where shootarounds give us a slight boost to our progression and a slight game boost, both specific to what we did in shootaround. I'd also like us to be at our lockers before all shootarounds and practices as well as the games. In addition to all this, I want us to have all Nike gear specific to our team in our lockers for practices and shootarounds. For team practices we should be wearing the practice uniform of course, but for shootarounds and extra practices we should be able to choose if we want to wear the practice jersey, practice shorts, sweatpants, short sleeve T, long sleeve, warm-up jacket, etc. As of right now, the team Nike gear is only wearable in the Neighborhood, so making it available in our NBA lockers for shootarounds wouldnt change anything.
