Title Town In The Desert: A 3-Sport Dynasty, PS4

Hope this is a good place to put this.

Okay, so I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I know what I want to do, I just don’t know how I am going to do it.

The only sports games I play are baseball, football and basketball and I’ve been wanting to do a 3-sport dynasty according to city. I have my choice of city already.

How did I go about choosing the city? Well, I wanted a city that had ZERO or maybe just one or two championships and turn it into title town. I believe the city I have chosen will definitely be a good work in progress.

I wouldn’t imagine this to be fast moving, I plan on being detailed (not images wise). I’m not all that great at creating storylines, this will be me playing most of the games, wheeling and dealing to get the best team assembled and bring titles to the city.

My state/city of choice is Arizona.
Only one championship here out the three sports I mentioned and that came from the Arizona Diamondbacks back in 2001. In football they came close but ultimately lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008. In basketball the Suns have been awful for a while now and their chance at a ring was denied by Michael Jordan and the Bulls in 1993.

Like I said, please don’t expect anything crazy as far as screenshots and images go, I’m just not that good and I don’t have that kind of time.

    Platform: PS4
Baseball: Arizona Diamondbacks – MLB The Show 17
-I’ll be simming the 2017 season

Football: Arizona Cardinals – Madden 17
-Will SIM 1st season to get to the draft

Basketball: Phoenix Suns – NBA 2K18
    -Will sim 2017/18 season

Please hold up on posting, I will reserve 5 posts

Stay tuned and hope you follow!

                  Jan 1, 2018

Sports in the state of Arizona is far from hot. The Phoenix Suns are in a downward spiral so far as we begin 2018 and almost halfway through the NBA season and the mountain to climb is getting taller and taller. The Suns are at the bottom of the Western Conference and all of basketball actually. To say the Suns will be in running for the lottery pick come later in June, is an understatement.

So what is there to look forward to? Well, baseball will be kicking in gear after the Winter Meetings have wrapped up and the Arizona Diamondbacks have done little to improve their team in the off-season. So it’ll be interesting how they handle this upcoming year. The Diamondbacks finished fourth in their division with a 79-83 record. We’ll have to see how well first baseman Paul Goldschmidt recovers. He missed about the last 2 months of baseball due to injury. Which by the way I think cost him the batting title to Joey Votto. Both finished with a batting average of .325.

The other team in the desert are the Arizona Cardinals. No longer will Larry Fitzgerald be catching passes for them as he has decided to hang up the cleats. The Cardinals have dealt with injuries for most of this past season. Needless to say they missed the playoffs at 6-10 and last in the NFC West. They’ll have the sixth or seventh pick in the first round of the draft so it’ll be an exciting time to see in what direction the Cardinals decide to go.

Certainly quarterback is a position that needs to be addressed with Carson Palmer on his last leg.

The Cardinals and Chandler Jones could not come to an agreement on a contract. Jones and his agent forced the Cardinals to use the franchise tag on him. He will be signed for the 2017 season at $11.4M.

Both have until July 15th to work out a long term agreement.

Nice idea especially rebuilding all the teams. You should pick up Hockey cause the Arizona Coyotes are in desperate need of rebuild too

Ahh Hockey. I have tried so hard to get into hockey that I just can't man. My cousin tells me just buy the video and you'll love it. I haven't done that and to be honest I probably won't. Something about hockey that just doesn't grab my attention.

                            March 25, 2018

Free Agency in football is over. The Cardinals for the most part stayed quiet until an opportunity knocked to add a right end to the front four. Sheldon Richardson and the New York Jets have not been on the same page for quite some time. Arizona saw the chance to swoop in and trade for Richardson and gave up a 2017 third round pick and a 2018 third round pick.

Sheldon Richardson will beef up the defensive line for Arizona for sure.

Now with the 2017 NFL Draft over a month away, the Cardinals will be on the clock with the 7th pick and the need to draft a quarterback is there.

With Larry Fitzgerald retired, another concern for the Cardinals will be the Wide Receiver position. Besides Fitzgerald, not much production out the rest of the group. Tight End Jermaine Gresham left to sign with the Atlanta Falcons, so tight end is another position to look at.

I wouldn’t count out the idea of the Cardinals drafting a running back early in the draft if available. David Johnson is an incredible running back but he missed 5 games due to injury. The Cardinals have a concern here when it comes to Johnson’s health. So that is something to look at as the draft gets closer.
