The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Imagine having midfielders like Carrick and Shelvey available and just voluntarily deciding not to use them
Michael Carrick has played like 3 matches in 2018. You never know what you're gonna get minute to minute with Shelvey, but would definitely be a good bench option.

I was more talking about Carrick's career as a whole, he's only played this many matches recently because he is retiring. He had previously played like 30 matches over a 16 year period (mostly as a sub) or something like that, which is pretty bad for a player of his quality.
Also, Shelvey's discipline has gotten much better, pretty sure he's not been booked in 2018 and his two red cards this season were; a tactical wind-up attempt on Alli (who had already stomped on Shelvey that game) that failed, and a tactical second yellow to stop a counterattack. Shelvey's attitude has improved a lot and his temper is massively overblown these days. Pretty sure Livermore has more cards than Shelvey this season.
Anyway, my point was that players like Shelvey and Carrick allow for far better control of a game and have been what England has missed for years despite the two of them being readily available.
