Meh. Time that could be better spent elsewhere. Player profile pics aren't useful in any way, and you rarely see a players face on the field. Might matter if they had like post game interviews or something, but otherwise just seems like wasted time and resources.

Every time I see Ryan Succup's face on Jimmy G during gameplay I have to look away. So I must respectfully disagree.

I don't mean to sound weird, but I hope that smiling actually makes it into the game. People say Madden looks great in screenshots, which I agree only if the players backs are facing the cameras. It doesn't matter if it's a screenshot of a QB throwing the ball, RB hurdling over a defender, or a one-handed catch by a WR, the players in Madden have the facial expressions comparable to a fish.

Just something that's annoyed me about EA games in general. I really hope they start capturing some emotion and implementing it into their sports games, especially one that's run on pure adrenaline like the NFL.

I have to enjoy seeing the one traded player that may spell the rise of another 49er dynasty while simultaneously signify the downfall of the Pats dynasty, getting his face scanned for Madden.
