Madden 19: PC or Console?

With Madden 19 returning to PC I know there is a large community of games that are rejoicing. Considering that some of these guys are still playing Madden 08 with mods and all that, it must be refreshing to get a new game to play on their preferred technology.

I understand that mods for Madden 19 will most likely be limited to cosmetic changes like we have seen in FIFA thus far. With that said, if you have a PC with the ability to play this game, will you get it for a console or your gaming PC?

I just upgraded my computer last week so this news is definitely exciting because it opens this door. I feel like what I should do is buy the game for console to play the hell out of MUT with friends (none of my buddies are PC gamers when it comes to Madden) and then wait until later in the football season to check in on the PC mods and franchise mode to see if I should get the game for PC to play an offline franchise.

What are your thoughts?

PC I only own one console now and that is the Switch.

Happy that Madden is finally returning to the most powerful platform.

PC if a decent NCAA mod comes out. Probably won't get it if that doesn't happen.

PC. Really hopeful the mod community can get this game to shine. Not too confident ,though.The Frostbite Engine has been a hard nut to crack for modders.

I'm actually debating this as well. I'm thinking of ordering the Hall of Fame edition on XBOX, playing the crap out of MUT for most of the season and then grabbing the game on sale for the PC after seeing what mods are available towards the end of the season.

I am curious what options playing in a CFM could offer on PC from a content creation stand point. Obviously, I'm still rocking the Xbox and MBL, but a PC CFM could have some interesting opportunity for content creation and just a different approach.

Console first, will wait to see how much/if it can be modded, then ill wait for an NCAA mod

Ill get in on console first, see how it is. if its good and the cpu community can make some awesome mods I'll pick it up on PC most likely - depending on how well my laptop can handle it.

GPU: GTX660 or equivalent passmark
CPU: i3-4350 or equivalent passmark
Memory: 8GB of RAM
HDD Space 40GB

PC and hopefully they bring back the cool old PC features like game boxscore being saved as txt file

I never knew that but that would be a great feature to include. I haven't run a Madden franchise in quite some time (maybe since Madden 06?) but that would definitely pique my interest for sure.

The more I think about it, I think I'm in the same boat as you. I will probably grab it for XBOX to start, wait for a nice sale towards the end of the season and grab it for PC, grab some mods and run a franchise.
