Would anyone miss minor duck?

Just want to get a general consensus about the minor duck, to me it's caused nothing but untold headaches to the point where I'm geneuinly too scared to do a duck vs predictable headkicks/overhands/heelkicks because the execution of it doesn't seem clean and has also hammpered the imput feel for major ducks.


I'd propose to either firstly remove the minor duck as it seems to be a 1% niche use move while negatviely effecting your normal ability to duck the other 99% of the time or to move minor sways to their own seperate button.


Does anyone else genuinely use the minor duck often or have flawless execution under pressure?

I find the control schemes for lunges, minor sways, major sways, muscle modifiers, and that paw retreat a complete mess. So much to memorise (good luck if you're a casual newb), it never seem to fire correctly when you want it. You have 4 buttons for just taunts, but they felt the need to link everything new behind trigger and bumper combinations.

Not to mention the double buttons. Teep kicks that turn into uppercuts, etc.

Agreed, and some combinations are just too annoying to memorize. Take the lead hook kick to side kick combo. Its l1+x+square then R1+L2+x with no delay.

Agreed. This control scheme is insane. EA seems to have moved away from intuitive controls and towards unresponsive and complex controls.

EA needs competition. I believe Madden became much better after NFL2K came out.

Unfortunately, they purchased the UFC license, and I doubt people want to buy an MMA game without UFC fighters

No, not happy with the way minor sways are set up. sometimes it won't register, and other times it will register as a major sway.

i have lost many fights because of the minor duck. usually when i plant my feet and HOLD forward for what should be a permanent duck only to eat a head kick that magnetized to my head despite ducking. not a fan lol

When you time a lean to avoid the first punch, followed by a duck, and then a lean to the opposite side, does this sequence implement the minor duck? That's the only functional use, assuming that isn't the full duck in the first place.

Honestly ducking as a primary defense against headkicks should be suicide anyway
