While this is probably somewhat true, online H2H remains it's own animal for now. There is nothing the AI can throw at you on either offense or defense that would prepare you for a game against someone with a tough scheme and/or a good user defender.
The AI can't hot route. You can get away with minimal hot routing on offense, but you wont' be able to stop anyone even halfway decent if you don't know how to adjust on D.
