My only ask in NBA 2K19 is to make MyCareer PLAYABLE.

I actually think the gameplay is really good. But this was the first year where I found playing MyCareer to be an absolute chore. They can NOT afford to have the same amount of endless, unskippable cutscenes. I shouldn't have to sim through my rookie season to get past this. I love creating more than one build but it just takes way too damn long to get started with a new character.

I'm even okay with how much you have to grind to level up, but don't punish me for wanting to create another player.

Is this a wish list? 2K is not feeling Santa. Sorry won’t happen.

Listen man, 2k makes more money from micro transactions than they do actual games sales. (I can't say for sure how I know that, but I've heard actual devs irl talking about whales spending 25-30k on myteam packs. That's a lot of cash money, every single year, because they don't roll over your collection from year to year.)

Instead of making the 2k franchise free, then raking in more micro transactions from more people who pick the game up and go "Dang, my player sucks, let me drop 20 bucks to make him better real quick, 20 bucks seems reasonable to play a game" and then never play again; they gate it behind a 60 dollar price tag every year.

Whenever I actually browse these forums anymore that's my sole thought when I read request threads. I turned on a stream this year before I bought the game to see how it was. Dude played like 15 minutes of ball in 2 hours, straight cutsceens, and little breaks and stuff on his end (reading chat and stuff like that). Are you kidding me? Hell no I don't have the time to pick that up. This is coming from someone who complained about unskippable cut scenes in the past. "I paid to sit here and do nothing on a basketball game? who are the people making these decisions for me?"

They literally take no consideration into actual playability or replayability anymore. They just want it to look flashy. "hey, did you know spike lee DIRECTED OUR CUTSCEENS? How dope is that!" Like, what? I don't even care about your cutsceens. I'm literally just here to smash some NPCs on rookie until my player can smash them on HoF and build up enough VC to do it all over again on another position.

That was awfully rambly, I know, but I've wanted to play a decent 2k game for years now, and I just got done reading another forum for a game that's company sucked the life out of instead of improving and I couldn't help myself.

I don't enjoy the cut scenes this year. You can't even skip them. I did like Spike Lee directing the story of it. To me it was relatable but this year you have cut scenes with your doorman agent coach mentor friend and everyone else in between that you can't skip. It's already enough that I have to go through x amounts of loading screens. All I'm saying is if you're going to do a story make it believable interchangeable and most of all where we can omit if we want to.
