Career Mode/Next Patch
Alright, with a lot of gameplay stuff having come and gone, now would be the time for Career Mode changes (sliders, longevity) to be implemented in one of these final patches, right?

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
I'd like to see some changes to career mode as well. Right now, career mode isn't horrible, but it is a little dry and not much reason or incentive to play thru it. I played thru it once when I first got it and that's it,haven't touched it since. If they make some tweaks to it and make it interesting, I'd probably play thru career mode again a couple of times.Alright, with a lot of gameplay stuff having come and gone, now would be the time for Career Mode changes (sliders, longevity) to be implemented in one of these final patches, right?

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
Career definitely isn't bad, it needs a couple of tweaks that's all.
As mentioned so many times: the world is just static and never changes. You get challenged by 8-8 fighters and there's no history. I want dynamic rivalries.
I remember an awesome career run in Undisputed 3 where I had an epic trilogy with Sexyama. Somehow the game detected these things whereas here I have a close match with someone and you never see them again as they drown into the rankings.Comment

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
The worst part of career is the champions in each division NEVER change unless you take the title from them. What makes this crazy is their records change they just never lose. This is also true if you win the title and then lose until you fight for the title again the guy who beat you will stay champion FOREVER. Completely immersion breaking for me. Also in the divisions you are not in the champions NEVER change throughout your entire career. Meaning if you are a heavyweight and mighty mouse is the flyweight champion he will remain the champion FOREVER.
If they just fixed this and not forcing you to retire if you lose twice toa rival and instead send you back to wfa I would be happy until ufc 4.Comment

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
I'm a huge online player, mainly quick fight but also ranked (no UT) but I also am a offline player at heart. Embarrassingly, the Pro AI can whoop me most of the time, mainly because I can be too aggressive or keen. I'm gonna aim to start getting good at taking on Pro AI (then maybe one day I can even dream of fighting legendary AI) and in doing so I really wanna take another punt at Career mode. I'm holding out to play it again in hopes this next big patch has some significant changes. Apparently there's more rivalry variety now so it makes me keen to jump back in as of now but we're so close to the end of patching I may as well train up and wait it out.
Here's hoping offline UFC 3 gets some love, this game is my favorite fighting game on the planet

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
I got the T-Mobile arena in there as of me playing today. We seriously need a pound for pound ranking, a record of our wins/losses/finishes, and SLIDERSComment

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
We should also have the option to choose our title defenses. I know this doesn't make sense, but the game is really bad in giving you the right contenders. Somehow it takes #7/#8's to feed to you, with the top contender forever staying there.
Pair that up with optional training mode like hitting the pads (like EAUFC2) and endless sparring and career mode could be really good.
I personally don't care for P4P rankings as you don't get to fight the others anyway, making it a bit of a tease. Records are really a must have. Never understood why it's not been in any EA game.Comment

Yup. Amanda Nunes never got a rematch after I beat her for the championship, but Jessica Eye challenged for the belt twice.

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
How would you guys like to see P4P rankings computed? What are the criterias for a fighter to get in the rankings and become #1?
- Dominating wins? (kos, subs)
- Most wins?
- GOAT fighters should obviously be #1 P4P right? So maybe the closer you get to GOAT the higher in p4p you get?
- How do we compute CPU P4P rankings?
Interested in the idea for sure, just not sure what we would look at in the backend to make the list seem realistic and not forced.
Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.Comment

Re: Career Mode/Next Patch
It's great to hear that you care about these kinda things. Before P4P rankings though, can Division rankings be taken care of, maybe even in the same way the P4P would. What I mean is fights between the rest of the roster are simulated, with you maybe being able to see how they went, like in FIFA for example. From there, a win is +1 point, KO/Sub win is +2, 1st round KO/Sub is +3, vice versa for losses, etc. Take steaks into account too, and so on. This is just for example, others have posted this point system before and can elaborate much better, I just saw the idea and like it. I hope they chime in. For P4P, maybe the fighters on a good streak or highest rated, idk, can have a star next to their name and the more of these you beat, the better your argument for GOAT/P4P list improvement is. Don't forget giving the option to turn off longevity mode.We should also have the option to choose our title defenses. IMO, that's the most important missing part to career mode.Comment
