Re: Madden NFL 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
Madden HDR still to dim as they shoot out about 4000 to 10000 nits which makes whatever tv you have specially OLED dim.
On a monitor with no HDR the game is super bright day and night...looks perfect
Until games do not start to properly implement correct nit levels the issue will persistComment

Re: Madden NFL 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
After one full game on 10 minute quarters I have to say I'm impressed.
The stats were very realistic for both sides. CPU actually ran the ball effectively. They called good plays as well.
I really like the RPM. I feel like it's a huge step in the right direction. It's gonna take time to get used to. And it needs some tweaking, but it finally feels like the players have weight and momentum.
The tackling also seemed done really well this year. I love the new hitsticks and love the way runners can drive a guy or two forward as they are being tackled. It looks much more like you see on Sunday's. I know those are canned animations, but it replicates the physics of momentum. Which I'm fine with because it looks good.
I was the Browns vs Steelers and Big Ben threw for 268 yards, at a 66% completion rate. 2TD and 1 INT. That is probably the best QB AI I've seen in years.
So overall, very early impressions, but more positive than negative so far.Comment

This game is quirky lol
I hit a button and the cpu did the arm wave for the crowd to be quiet and all the sound dropped out except a couple player shouts. It was super creepy. There wasn’t even a hush of the crowd the sound was just gone. And I was on the road. I was like damn Baltimore fans are nice.
What is with the guys getting injured and sprinting full ham down the length of the field. I even had a guy run the field but he hurdled the whole way. I guess the guy who did it the first time won the dash and hurdles was the next event. Or the mangled arm animation where it looks like they are holding a ball but there is no ball.
The camera has shot out on me like others have said as well.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

I'm actually enjoying my experience thus far.
Biggest complaints so far:
Crossing/drag patterns still too much cheese.
And man the presentation needs work along with sideline reactions. The coach animations are so old

I still can't believe in 2019 we can't get names on the players on the sidelines. Lol.Scott Sanders

Re: Madden NFL 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
Anyone else completed Longshot mode? Thought it was quite a nice improvement over last years. Interesting that there was only one decision I remember the game asking me to make, and it was a pretty inconsequential one at that, compared to last years which I seem to remember having a fair bit of player choice. Not an issue for me considering the mode has improved as a whole.
My EA Access trial doesn’t seem to be knocking any hours off (still shows 9 hours left after probably around 6 hours of play). I think it’s something related to going to the dashboard and opening madden up again, and for some reason EA Access hasn’t taken away any trial time from me.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
It's great and a bit surreal to be playing a madden game on PC in over a decade. I feel as though I'm like playing a emulator of some sort to be honest. But it's been fun so far, and I can't wait to see what mods we could do to this game.
So now, I've played a half of a game between the Vikes and the Packers.
Just talking visuals here for the PC.
I think it looks great even though it's apparent that I still need to tinker away with the dials of the settings to get the game to run more smooth. I'm not getting much stutter, but some tearing here and there. The 2 major gripes I have is with the animations.
1. Has anyone seen the wonky animation of the QBs when you let them just casually walk back up to the line? They do these knee squat like animations with arms to the side.
2. If a player suddenly goes to make (A interception or A catch) at the last second, there is a gap in animation and it doesn't not glide smoothly in the animation transition depart.
I'm also getting some terrible audio as well. I've heard it go from stereo to mono, mismatched, echo. There was one instance where the players were gathered in huddle formation and the audio was still playing "Blitz! Blitz!" or "It's a screeeeeen!" from the last play.
Other than that I think I'm running really well for a first spin after 10 years.__________________________________________________

Re: Madden NFLTh 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
This games a turd. Way too many interceptions by the cpu, running up the middle is almost impossible and every time I try to run the ball from the 1 yard line im stuffed. CPU knows exactly what you are going to do.Comment

My main downer is that daytime lighting when driving towards the sun is messed up bad. It's like I'm wearing sunglasses and kinda ruins the experience for me.
That being said, I love the player models and RPM.

Yup. I’ve seen that, too. I believe I saw it in the beta as well, actually. But, just now, freeman apparently tore his shoulder. Before I knew he tore his shoulder, the game showed an injury, and then the screen switched, and yeah, he was hurdling like a madman down the middle of the field. Lol. Then, the screen switched and showed him walking off the field towards the tunnel.
So, idk, I really wonder if they did this on purpose? It’s supposed to mimic someone getting injured and hopping around cause they’re in pain? Lol.

Re: Madden NFL 19 Impressions (Pre-Release / EA Access / Origin Access)
Spoiler
Playing on PC, on the 10-hour access. Immediately notice the much faster load times, really nice being able to get into the game super quick.
Having trouble with my PS4 controllers working on the PC, either not mapping correctly or when they do it keeps booting me to profile select screen. Gonna try to tweak it.
Was navigating around, looking at rosters, CFM settings, play now live. Everything smooth and quick... then finally went to play a game and my troubles began.
My PC was a built a few years ago. I feel the processor is up to snuff (3570k) but my GPU is definitely lacking (560 Ti). Went into a play now and game locked up on kickoff. Dropped graphics settings to LOW and froze again at kickoff. GPU driver is crashing. Updated to most recent drivers and lowered settings to the absolute lowest... and it crashed at the settings screen. Reloaded game and locked up on play now setup. Now can't really even navigate the menus for more than a few seconds without it locking up.
I don't plan to buy M19 at full retail, gonna wait for it to drop in price, so hopefully by will have upgraded the GPU (if the prices ever become more reasonable on the new ones). This is tedious, one small area console play benefits over PC.
Gonna try to get it working!
Well finally was able to play some of the game. Played around in practice mode for a bit, game doesn't look that bad on LOW settings and was mostly smooth. Passing felt good and hard hits sounded nice.
Still having crash issues, can play a little of a play now game but eventually there's a flicker and it freezes. Oh well.Have no issues with BF1, Mass Effect games or Titan Fall 2.
