    Madden 19 Trade Discussion

Figured a thread like this would pop up at some point.

My main question is, has anyone found a trade that the Ravens will accept for Lamar Jackson? I have yet to get them to agree to anything. I tried even going Von Miller and two 1st rd picks, but was quickly rejected. (Yes, I know, the Ravens aren’t interested in Miller.). I’ve tried multiple teams and multiple offers and not even come close.

Trades are very tough this year. Hopefully they will nerf them a bit. After much fiddling I've found older players, high salary players, and low development players garner zero interest. If you are having a lot of trouble, you might need to "cheat" and edit one of those attributes to make them tradeable. Like with Von Miller, you might need to lower his salary/cap hit, trade him, edit it back to the original. Same with ET. The best player I was able to get without doing this was a 84 OVR RT with Quick Development but I had to give up a first and two thirds to get.

Probably a 2nd round pick. Rumor has it both were willing to trade unless connor williams was on the board (which he was). It seems like a lot, but that's what it takes if you want to be realistic.

Well in Madden 19 and the current trade logic I can tell you with 100% certainty Seattle would not even accept two firsts and a second, a first and two seconds, or a first, second, and third. No chance.

Ya I offered a 1st and and 2 80 OVR players (met their needs) and Seahawks still rejected. I edited Earls AWR to 0, made a fair trade, and then edited back. Meh..

I haven't tried trading yet, but it seems to me from this thread that after the EA Play Browns video trading free for all, they made it super tough to acquire certain players. IMO, if you're not going to have a slider/tuning system like NBA 2K, then making it absurdly difficult to take the CPU's best players is better than it being too easy.

If the User want to do some manipulation to the ratings to get a player, then that's cool, but don't have the CPU be a candy store as the default setting.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I usually just make the big trades I want before I start the CFM. Then I can trade draft picks to make the compensation more fair after I start.

What's funny is we are probably seeing a buffed version from EA Play... Lots of people here said trading was TOO EASY during the EA Play videos.

To hear trades are much harder is great news! I would rather it be too hard than too easy.

Why would we be hoping for easier trades? Trades aren't a very common occurrence in the NFL. Especially Ravens giving up Jackson who they Just drafted. It should basically be impossible to get most of these players.

If you look at trades most are during the draft and most are for pick swaps and lower tier players. I hope they keep this trade logic.

Don't get me wrong, I like that trades are tougher, it makes sense that trading for Lamar Jackson would be difficult. I'm not looking for it to be easier, I just mainly want to know if it's possible to get him at all. I had dreams of starting a franchise and making Jackson my starting QB from day 1, I just didn't want to have to do that with the Ravens.

                          Re: Madden 19 Trade Discussion

I have been trying different trades in a test franchise. Here are some trades I tried and the results:

                          Deshaun Watson:

                          Offered 1st (2019), 2nd (2019), 1st (2020)
Trade level was about halfway in the red.

                          Case Keenum:

                          Offered 1st (2019), 3rd (2019) and 5th (2020)
                          Accepted.

                          Ryan Tannehill:

                          Offered 1st (2019) and 3rd (2019)
                          Accepted.

It seems at lest in my sample size that teams actually value QB's now. Even trying to trade for some young rookies is harder. I offered a 2nd round pick in 2019 for Luke Falk and Kyle Lauletta neither team accepted. I had to include another later round pick (4th for Falk, 5th for Lauletta) to get them to accept.

It also seems much harder to stack draft picks this year.

So far I am loving the reworked trade logic. But I can already see this disappearing, people will complain it's too hard and they will tune it to be easy like every other year.

Realistically it should be harder, look at how many trades happen in the NFL...

                              Tried a 2019 2nd, 2020 1st & 2020 2nd, all refused. I'll just have to move him over before it starts and then do a trade for a 7th for a 2nd.
