Formation Subs not working ?

In My CFM Positional subs out of certain formations do not stick. In Shotgun for instance, it won't let me sub out the slot receiver or HB, while in Iform it does. Anyone else experience this ?

I wonder if it is because there are the new depth chart positions that override those.

You sir, are a genius. That’s what it was. Thanks.
Minor, but maybe this could use some rethinking as some formations line don’t always line your “slot” we in the actual slot, which is why I wanted to change personnel.

Having same problem. Playing as Rams and trying to formation sub Kupp to another WR route for shotgun. Removed Kupp from slot position but still any chances won't be saved to this formation. Anyone else have this problem or have a workaround?
