On rookie and I can’t even get past the first drill! I’ve done this for years. Something is very wrong.

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
It did seem extremely hard for whatever reason. I struggled with the pass rush drill and the tackle battle drills.
No matter what I did, my lineman seemed to stay glued to the lineman in the pass rush drill and could never break free. Took me so long to finally get through that one. Maybe I'm just not good at it lol
And the tackle battle drills were extremely frustrating for me. Perhaps I'm just not quick with the button presses, but it seemed like as soon as the button flashed it was showing me losing it. Gave me no time at all to even attempt to press it. It got to the point I just started guessing before it even popped up what it would be and just hoped I guessed rightPistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
I definitely believe some of them are glitched right now, with the tackle battle being one of them. You have like a half second to click the proper button. I got a bronze on that one from just guessing correctly enough times.Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
I just gave up and skipped a bunch of them. Either they're glitched or horribly balanced/designed.Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
I’m glad it’s not just me who felt that way! I’ve actually always liked the drills, but it took me forever just to get a bronze on the basic running drills. I was doing well on a Gauntlet until this one drill where I had a lead block as a lineman. Burned through all six of my lives on that one.Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
agreed...it doesn't seem like it was tuned at all from 18...so they introduced RPM but didn't update the gameplay in skills trainer. Not a good experience, the gauntlet in the skills trainer is exactly the same from 18, no new drills etc...Comment

I'm glad it's not just me. I was feeling pretty stupid lol. on rookie!Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
And if that's on rookie as well, I'm glad I didn't cave in and lower the difficulty just for the skill trainer. I was on the verge of doing so.
Though now I am getting frustrated with the press drills. I'm just not getting it. It appears I press the receiver, get them to the correct side, stay where I'm supposed to and don't let them complete the pass, but it keeps telling me I did something wrong. And I have no idea how I'm failing it lol
I know it's probably just me, but it's really irritating mePistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
I was stunned also had exactly the same issue on
Stiff Arm being really hard and/or not detecting it. Stiff arm in general never works
Also had huge issues with tackle battle
Really strange the most basic aspects are broken, imagine a new player giving up before the first game!Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
They are definitely hard, and I feel like I lucked into beating some of them. But I only did some of them to try to learn the game's controls. Good luck to anyone who wants to complete them.Comment

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
Pretty sure I lucked into most of them myself. And now the press drill is the only one I have yet to complete. But it's definitely something that needs to be toned down so it doesn't turn off people in my opinionPistol Power- The Coaching Career of Zarek Stryker

Re: Skills trainer too hard?
Yeah, I remember the drills in the older maddens were fun to play, like throwing the ball through rings while completing the pass to your wrs. But now I was so annoyed, I did a few of them just to learn the controls and haven't bothered with it since.Comment
