I'm not seeing anything that suggests TGC is getting nearer AAA standard,I do not think that can happen without an improvement to the game engine.Also if it was a vast improvement the focus would have been on visuals in the matchplay stream.Developers just focused on minor improvements such as ball trails in sand,divots & speed trees.

It's looking like the resolution will get improved for console but that could make the poor graphics stand out more.
Have to wait until the 28th to find out.
