Isn't that his new face scan? I don't remember him having the same beard last year.

Re: The Photographic Side of NBA 2K19
That's his face scan from last year with the longer beard added on. He wasn't re-scanned last year I don't think. I'm pretty sure they just made his cyber-face from scratch.Comment

Re: The Photographic Side of NBA 2K19
No, it is his same old scan (from 2k14) with the hair/facial hair altered and skin complexion adjusted. I doubt they would get rid of the previous scan and hand draw his render.

Re: The Photographic Side of NBA 2K19
My bad. What I meant was that in 2K18 he had his cyber-face redone, but I don't think he was actually re-scanned because he looked a bit off. If you look at some of the new faces like Giannis and AD, you can tell they were re-scanned because they look absolutely perfect, which isn't the case with LeBron's current face IMO.No, it is his old scan with the facial hair altered. I doubt they would get rid of the previous scan and hand draw his render.

Re: The Photographic Side of NBA 2K19
Exactly, and that is probably why they don't like making changes unless the player is re - scanned.
They could alter something and make the render look "off" unintentionally.

Re: The Photographic Side of NBA 2K19
I would agree but guys like Wes Matthews, Robert Covington, Tyson Chandler, Robin Lopez, Zach Lavine etc. have gone 3 years or more without being touched which is unacceptable. I used to hate playing with Julius Randle because they never updated him since he was scanned as a rookie back in 2014. Mind you Julius had a fauxhawk the following 3 plus years before they finally updated him in 2k18.Exactly, and that is probably why they don't like making changes unless the player is re - scanned.

These shots look really good. Don't know of it's your tv settings or what but the lighting looks better than usual on these ones.Comment
