Me and my buddies played hundreds of pro am games last year. There are 4 of us. Youve always only needed 3 users to start a pro-am game. Now its saying 5? Is this a bug? How could 2k decide to do that?

I think its true and i tried about 5x now to go to the rec center to find a walk on game to play and the most we got was 4 people waiting for just 1 more for literally close to 10 minutes. I havent even played a single walk on game so far because it just cannot find 5 people...Comment

I'm gonna chalk it up right now to shaky servers...I tried jrc and it wasn't working at all.
So hopefully it's just the servers being messed up.. But if it's really only 5 players that's super lame

well...ever you can play a game in Rec...There are bunch of 32/23 Zone "dog" play stealing ball game...really terrible out there...

Wow the pro am walk on pre game lobby is such crap now. Once you get into the lobby waiting for 4 other people, you cant even back out/cancel out back to the neighborhood.Comment

Very frustrating, I've yet to play a single game of Pro-Am. Park with randoms is not my idea of fun.

I think having a 4 person minimum is good since playing against the AI is not very fun. (5 person only seems short sighted)
Or maybe this is NBA 2k way of forcing 2k players to make more friends

I don't mind a restriction, like you said AI sucks. Matchmaking just needs to get right.

The thing is, I know there's a lot of older guys on here.
I got a lot of Xbox friends. But my list of real friends, on Xbox, on 2k, is thin.
I like to run my pro am team with them. I know sometimes I get frustrated and wanna run competitive teams but I enjoy winning with them as much as losing.
Point is, we run pro am and even if it's only 3 or 4 of us we're competitive. We beaten some top teams of 5 out players last year..even with the detrimental ai who couldn't shoot or space to save their lives.
Ever since pro am (crew) came out, you been able to run less than 5. I think it's pretty lame if this is true.
