As someone who loves to Play Now Online,  I really thought this game had a lot of hope. I was wrong! 2K has now made it to where the offense is on rookie and the defense is on Hall of Fame, I lost to a guy who shot 3-3 from the 3 with Ben Simmons, it feels as if 2K only cares about modes where you pay to play (mypark, myteam, pro am) 2K has really shifted more towards a arcade game  I don’t consider it to be a simulation basketball  at all. 2K use to  be a game I really looked forward to buying  but I’m truly dissatisfied with  2K19

Way too early to give a reliable in-depth review yet

NBA 2K should be the standard that all sports game should follow. Incredible how far they have come and how deep the game has become.

Im enjoying the game alot but the worst part is you need 5 people to play proam. Its tough time getting 5 sometimes.

So basically ratings don't seem to matter? Is this the case in the offline modes as well?

Straight up? Gameplay looks stiff, robotic, skate-y, and outdated. Some of the arenas look ridiculously bad.

Was watching Chris smoove vids last night and it was kinda cringey.

2k is going in a virtual world direction, and has gotten way too complacent with its gqmeplay imo.

I’m probably a Black Friday purchase this year if at all.

                But so far, yuck

2k still using exploitative VC hooks? Still having server and connectivity problems?
                    no way im shocked

                    50k VC football!?!? LOL

I remember when 2k day was fun. Now it's just the start of a disappointing, frustrating, grindy, pay-to-win mess. Sorry 2k - not for me this year. I remember when you were fun.

                        Great review.
Was hoping for more info on the throwback rosters and MyLeague integration.

Probably in that servers will change and get more steady as we move further away from the launch window, though to be fair, I played the game for nearly 50 hours before writing this review.

Another legacy issue that remains is that animations will trigger that remove the player’s ability to control their player. Too often my player was sucked into a bump animation with a defender.
I could never quite find the perfect way to word my issue with the 2K series the last few years but that sums it up really well. Especially after spending some time with the Live 19 demo and Real Player Motion. But, 2K19 is the better game and I’m used to that flaw and can deal with it.
F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!
