I'll be honest, I like Madden 19. I'm having fun with it. Some moments I have a blast with it. But it seems every game there's 2 or 3 moments that keep it from being where I want it to be. Disclaimer--I do tend to enjoy most Maddens in spite of their flaws.

Trust me...stay away from this game. It's awful right now. Maybe with a few patches, but it's a scripted, physics-defying steaming pile of pewp as it is.

At first I thought I liked the game, to me the real player motion while not perfect actually was a nice addition to the game. After these last couple of patches I am getting some really wonky results though. I don't know what they did especially with this last patch but I am no longer enjoying this game at all. Every year is like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Even when they add a new feature it always feels like minimal effort was put in. Like with schemes and player archetypes, how come I can't set multiple archetypes for certain positions in a scheme. Why can't I have a different WR type for WR1, WR2 and my slot WR, your telling me that red zone threats are all that fit my scheme? Or with custom draft classes, how is it that the only way we can create or modify one is inside of a CFM. Also now is there no option to randomize ratings for these classes.

As much as I love football I don't think I can bring myself to keep playing this game, but with how much fun some of the other sports titles are out there. I'm probably going to go back to mlb the show or NBA 2k for a little while.

No go. EA puts out one game upon release then moves forward with patches and removes features and items that affect good gameplay. It's their history to appease the comp crowd.

Game had so much potential this year. With every patch, they go backwards a step or two.

Yay.

Just don't play it out of the box.

Sliders and edits help until a title update that corrects things, last year it was till November, this year, hopefully, the next title update.

I guarantee you would get totally different answers in the slider forum vs this main forum.

Also, depends if you are a H2H or User vs Cpu player.

I've noticed along my timefeed, Twitter is generally positive towards the game.

I like the changes to franchise, but I have to go with...

...nay...

Once they fix the 2023 franchise breaking bug I will say yay, but for now I have been playing MLB the show. I tried going back to 18, but training is so tedious for me now.

Nay, big time. Can't enjoy this game anymore. It's too similar to previous year, every year.

Madden needs some fresh ideas, fresh blood, or something, cause I'm getting tired of all EA sports titles being a cookie cutter from previous year with a few cosmetic changes.

With so many good AAA titles hitting this fall, I don't mind skipping this game this year and focusing on other games.

Broke down and got it for $39 at Walmart and played one regular season game. Couldn't run for crap. 11 Carries for 2 yards. Still won but even after one game I'll play 2017 til next patch shows up and 2017 still has an issue with kicker stats adding up.
We'll see how 2019 goes but at $39 I can sell it for a little less than that if it don't get better. I'll give it a month

It took a lot of slider editing to get the game working right but it was all worth the frustration. After the patch the game is working much better for me. Definitely the best Madden experience I've known, and I've known them all. I don't like feeling magnetized as a runner to the nearest defensive player, but overall RPM makes the game really come alive: it almost feels like being on the field if you get the right settings going. Great game for me so far.

if you like 18 then 19 will be slightly better.

but if you're burned out from 18 then don't expect 19 to make you want to play more.

Yay. M19 captures the game pretty well, and while there might be some stuff here and there, EA has proven to be very active and responsive with issues this year.

This main thread here is as negative as ever, my advice is to stay out of it at most cost. Hit the sliders forum, and read peoples progress, some very good stuff in there.
