    5 out still an option?

Hey guys. Probably some of you maybe remember me. I played up until I got pd Duncan at 2k17 mostly due to 5 out. 2k18 due to easy difficulty and 5 out I played less than 10 games in my team.

I read that difficulty is superstar which is great. But what about 5 out? Is it still a thing?

I won't play against Cousins who stick in the corner waiting for a split out

The worst I've seen is pick and fade with everyone standing at the 3. So yes. I'm not sure about 5 out with an isolation though.

I believe 5 out has been removed.

All sets have been removed, if thats a good or bad thing everyone has to decide for himself...

New favourite seems to be pick & pops with stretch bigs yeah, some people play it exclusively.

All sets? So how do you employ a 4 out 1 in set? You need to find a specific playbook?

I can only say that I wasnt able to select anything so far in any online game. In the coach settings it also says "unavailable" for that option.

It may be that you need to unlock it? Would not surprise me...

Thats why I said if thats a good or bad thing you have to decide yourself. I like to play sim and if thats 2k's solution to the 5out cheese from last year its pretty much the worst option and a surrender to the cheesers by 2k...

You can still select freelances online, but it doesn't work with the D-pad at the moment, you need to call a timeout and use the coaching menu. So far, I can't tell exactly if 5out is still an option or not, I played the game for the first time today.

Oh thx for the info. I could swear that I looked in the timeout coaching menu and clearly saw "not available" or something like that. Must have overlooked it...

Thanks guys. I am not yet convinced to get the game. Maybe at Christmas period when hopefully some issues may be resolved

5 out was a disaster to play against, especially since almost every good center was assigned a high 3pt rating.

But the solution can not be to remove it from the d pad or only in timeout etc.

What type of my team is a mode that you don't know if you should pick a stretch or a post pf since you have no idea what your team's basic set is

You have to call a timeout when you're in possession for the offensive part to show up. It's weird.

FYI guys, Fist 41 Elbow Rip still gives a psuedo-5 out look, so there are dudes out there spamming that play and just isolating off of it.

                        pffff

The real problemis that so many centers have that good 3 pt shot without the negatives that this could bring irl

And of course 2k caters to the kids that use this offense and gives 3 pt ratings 80+ to a bunch of Centers

This is suprisingly the best 2K by far. The gameplay is superb and they are fighting all sorts of cheese which has been destroying the game. Such as SF at PG or 5out. To answer your question, yes you can 5 out, but it sucks. People can not easily blow by just because they have Bron at PG. The tryhards who still doing it, will give you some nice free ragequits and easy Ws. You can pick up a copy without worrying.

I did get a Fifa version so I am gonna try this first. Maybe we can do some co-op online leagues?

Its pretty easy to call a play to do it ... just like 2k18.

I think its just taken longer to catch on because there weren't players available that could do it.

Why 2k picked this years game to make the best version of andre iguodala .. I don't know. back when he was with the 76ers his ratings were low 80s. Shot 30% from 3 and averaged 5 assists but he's basically the best PG in the game you can get without a ton of reward tokens.
