I have seen somewhere way back in this thread about someone having an updated top 25 file for the start of the season.

I want to start a new dynasty with that updated top 25. Is this do able? If so, is there a tutorial or any help to getting this accomplished on the ps3?

I regret to inform you that I had an editor prospect working on LA Tech but he just quit yesterday. So I'm back to square one with them. I'm hoping that he can send me what he has done already if he has anything. I should be done with Texas State early this weekend and will do the updates to my original three teams (Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor) right after, after which I will be free to work on your boys. So they are coming soon!

Vikesfan main roster already has the true preseason AP poll which is what many prefer when starting a dynasty. While the VikesfanMod currently has updated wk5 poll. Pat provided the PS3 GT.

To edit rankings yourself you will require a windows pc with the editors..load the roster file with either EA db editor or NCAA dynasty editor. On PS3 you have to first use Bruteforce 4.6 to decrypt the PS3 save file. Then you can open the USR data within the save file with one of the editors (USR file may require renaming with .mc02 ending).
Look under Teams tab data for the team rank list and edit how you wish within the editor and save. Then you have to remove the .Mc02 ending and re-encypt the PS3 save file with Bruteforce.

I usually make rankings as perfect as possible taking up to an hour to move all 100+ team rankings around even though the game only shows the top 25. If this is too much for you to do, then just use the Vikesfanmod:wink:

Sorry to hear that. I would love to help you guys out, but I'm afraid I would be as much of a liability as an asset. For instance the depth you guys go into, i.e., no Lolb's for teams that run a 4-2-5 and the true speeds for your sliders is incredible. I just tried playing w/LSU (although I adjusted Int's to 40 and played on All-American) was great. Keep up the good work! I look forward to Tech's completion as well as the rest of the C-USA sqauds and the Sun Belts.

Another question:
It appears that other people have done Liberty, UNC-Charlotte, GA Southern, Coastal Carolina and App St. on the team builder. They did decent jobs except the player speeds for the GA Southern entry seem high. Now there are multiple entry's for these teams, but preview the rosters and it'll be obvious which ones are closest to reality. I was wondering if you guys plan on adjusting those teams as well.

I'm not singling you out. I've had multiple people ask me about this so I'm just condensing a response here.

Keep in mind that filling out the application let's us know you're interested but it isn't the only thing we go off when considering candidates.

We have to make sure that candidates:

• Show in-depth knowledge on multiple teams we don't already have covered. There's no point in adding someone that only knows one team or only knows teams that the rest of the team already knows well. This is where we really look into 69-man depth charts people provide us. Are they copied and pasted from Ourlads or was time taken to actually do research/provide notes? Do they only take the current season into account or are they Dynasty focused? Those sorts of things can't really be learned from the application alone.
• Plan to stick around. We're not looking to add someone that joined OS the past few days. The longer you're been around (especially in this thread + previous years' threads) definitely increases one's chances. It doesn't do us any good to spend the time to train someone up only for them to disappear once their teams are done. It's nice to have the same people back because they become familiar with the process and will have established connections with sources and the community.
• Interact well with the rest of the community. We want people that are friendly and engage with the community. Collaborating with others and helping out people to the forum is a plus. Complaining about people new to the forum is not.
• Understand that this is a large time commitment. Our system and the other nuances that come with roster editing are very time consuming. We have had several really good candidates drop out during/after completing training. It can cause significant delays if people drop out unexpectedly.

We will get in contact with candidates we're interested in when we're interested in expanding. There is no need to PM myself or the other editors. The best place to show your work is here in the forum so all of us can see. We will not respond to every application. There is far too many and with OS Inbox limit on sent & received PMs, it would become difficult to have to continuously clear Inboxes so that people can still PM us. It can also happen that we get unexpected openings or downsizings that candidates that we would "reject" would be a good fit for. If you have filled out the application, you will still be considered.
