CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
I've had the game for a few days. I've messed around with sliders, practiced plays and freelances in scrimmage mode. First game I play, the CPU through 3 quarters, has not called a timeout..Tags: None -

it's a bug. it's not as bad as last year. I had the cpu call 4 time outs in a game, for me, that's about the max. -
Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
It should have been fixed TBH... The CPU barely calls them unless they are down big... If they are leading you can forget about them calling any timeouts... It's really immersion breaking and only compounds the substitution issuesComment

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
If u are playing offline, set the rotation for the cpu team. If u set a substitution at the 6-minute mark, the cpu calls a TO at around the 6-minute mark to sub the players.
Problem is, this approach will not sub out players in foul trouble. This is not an easy fix and the problem had been like this since 2K17.

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
PS4 here (pro if it matters) and I don't have this same problem as a primarily MyLeague player.
The CPU teams regularly call timeouts every quarter, even too much sometimes where they'll be left with only 2 going into the 4th.Comment

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
If you set your timeouts to Manuel the CPU will call timeouts , if you have your timeouts to auto they only use timeouts when you are crushing them . This has worked for me anyway so ? Hope it helps!Comment

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
On PS5 they call timeouts, I've seen two called in a quarter.
The huge issue is substitutions, players will have 3 in 1st and no subs.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
I've been playing on the PS5 as well since January, and it was just fine until around 2 weeks ago, 12 minute quarters, on MyNBA, CPU just stopped calling timeouts the whole game.
Then I tested it again on Play Now and they called timeouts
So I started a new MyNBA and bam, no timeouts called again
Very, very frustratingComment

On my rosters I use advanced rotations and the cpu always uses all their timeouts when I playComment

I don't have a problem with this at all. Maybe it's just the whole combination of league settings and gameplay sliders you use...Comment

Re: CPU's not calling timeouts again this year!?
I'm late to the party on this. I'm on PS4. I think the CPU calling timeouts are linked to the takeover system. In all the games I have played, the CPU primarily calls a TO the moment your player fills the takeover meter. I remember before they implemented the Takeover System, the cpu used to call timeouts regularly and according to the current game situation. I have my settings all on manual and I have ACE turned off (I like to run my team by myself).
I have also seen in CPU v CPU games where the CPU has called a timeout within the first 3 minutes of the game if they are getting dusted early. It is frustrating that this has been a yearly thing that seems to not be talked about by the devs.Comment
