Well, after returning 2 copies, the 3rd time was the charm. I now have a fully working copy and have been in college football heaven. I got the latest roster and have begun playing a tournament I set up to play different teams.

My first observations between 12 vs 14 (note I've played 12 for nearly 7 years):

* The timing of the start of plays are slightly slower in 14. I notice it on simple HB slam plays or WR screen plays. I've had many no gains so far.

* The passing system is improved but I've had a difficult time adjusting so far. MY second game resulted in 6 INTs.

* I love the new animations in the players and the tackling is much more realistic. The TV presentation is not better than 12, especially the horrible intro to the games and music.

* The stat presentation during the game is much better.

Question: how do you determine a fair rating system? As a Longhorn fan, I would probably rank up the players too high.

Are you using Boss's sliders? The rosters are built to work hand-in-hand with the sliders.

So I think I've seen a video with Boss's sliders, but it didn't really give any actual info? Could you link, or just copy and paste the sliders so I can set them looking at this thread on my phone?

He can explain it a lot better (and somewhere in this thread he probably has) but basically after creating the ratings system, he did a lot of testing, and those sliders provided the most realistic experience.

Follow-up question, are these sliders valid if you're not playing on Heisman? (For a guy like me who is getting back into playing NCAA after about over a decade)

There should be Saban bump that applies to his coaches and players. Also I think Trevor Lawrence arm strength is light. Again just my opinion, something I do on my own and not criticizing. Great job guys and very much appreciated.

LOL we are watching the greatest coach of his era in a playoff format. Saban is Bowden 2.0 but better then Bobby ever was in big games. New OC and DC things are clicking again. Stud QB Tua rating is actually light to me. Stud HB, WR, OL and DL. Plus talented LB, DB and TE group. Plus no health problems and willing to adjust in some way to win. Saban winning with aggressive offense which make his team more dangerous because the defense is still very good.

Tua and Trevor are best looking college QB who play above their rating in reality. What bama and saban is doing right now is something to respect. I play the game differently then others because I more focus on dynasty play and play it out. Saban and Bama are set up to be no worse then 1 loss team every year for next 3 to 4 years. Clemson is possible and closest thing to bama. Great job by everyone outside of one team everyone is playing to best of their rating or worse end of their rating. Saban is one outlier.
