I have been a big fan of the DDS Pro Basketball series and am in a long running online league. We will be making the jump to this newest engine once all the kinks are worked out. If you are into sim sports games - especially basketball - this series is as good as it gets.

I played this briefly in 2016 and the sim engine seemed really good. I decided to wait a year for the GUI to get sexier but then forgot about it. I'll take this as a reminder!


There's a french brand that has a text based basketball sim too. I remember the GUI being better but the engine being worse. If only the 2 could combine.



It has always been my dream to play the basketball equivilent of Football Manager. I wonder what this game is like these days in 2018

Nothing is in the same ballpark as those 2 franchises but it’s pretty good.

No. And it's frustrating because I know I would be a regular customer if it was. I have to assume Gary has his reasons.




As for that french game, steer clear. I tried it. It's awful. No real free agency, engine is crap once you actually dive in deeper. It was made for international ball in mind and the NBA is just a throw-in with very little, if any, of the important rules needed to play a simulation game as a GM.
