Is Madden 19 worth it?

I haven't bought a new rendition of Madden in a good 6-7 yrs and was thinking about buying '19 when it goes on sale on Black Friday but didn't know if it was worth buying. So I thought I'd ask here to see what you guys thought, and if not is there a better version that is worth buying? Thanks.

IMO yeah at the sale price. I FINALLY bought the PS4 version at BB last night (online only early BF sale) as it's 29.99

Wait for Black Friday-
I bought it the day it came out and have played a total of 0 full games!

Between No running game and choppy animations def not worth full price

A HUGE patch expected this month to clean stuff up (hopefully) but 12 weeks into Real NFL season im not counting on it!

I honestly think so too. I was just very miffed they took out player lock with d cam. So I pouted until a sale.. lol

Its always played good but not perfect ( no game is) but I see it's gotten better since I played early release.

If your on console you might want to wait till next patch ( which should be any day now). If your on PC, I would say yes absolutely without a doubt. If you play on any other speed than normal there is a slight delay on some handoff plays, punts, & kickoffs. Why this has been fixed is anyone's guess.

Only you will know the answer by playing it and then you may not know what you truly think until you play it quite a bit. You have threads that promote 18,17....some people like 16,last gen 12 or a ps2 version best. All these people have reasons why they do and it's legitimate to them so they aren't wrong because it's all personal opinion.

Depends. All the little bugs and stuff really add up and make it unenjoyable for me. If youre on PC and are able to mod it though, and can get it for 20-30 bucks, it may be worth it then. But to me there's no way this game is worth spending more than 20 dollars in it's current state. Hopefully the next 'huge' patch fixes the vast amounts of bugs and irritating issues that exist.

I purchased the game on opening day for about 20 bucks and the game has improved since opening day and still needs room for more improvements, ie, RPM, I'm looking at you.....

Like GR said, no opinion is incorrect, you will have some who will put the game down and not play again until the next title update and you will have some that will try to get the most out of the game that they purchased, hit the motherlode on sliders/edits and keep on playing.

I got my money's worth back then and liking the game better now vs then.

It was for me until Jimmy Garoppolo got injured. Now nothing is worth anything.

Its more of the same. I saw it was $30 in the xbox live store. That's worth it at that price tag.

As has been said, there is no right answer for this...everyone is different.

Personally, I put the game down for the time being. There are too many things (mostly RPM related) that need tweaking by EA for me to enjoy the game in its current state. I went back to 18.

I am hoping the next patch fixes unnecessary juking, RBs running back into tacklers as opposed to daylight, better sideline and end zone awareness, cleaned up QB decision making and animations so they stop spinning in circles and jogging to right or left until they get sacked...

I’m fully engaged on a cfm right now and loving every minute. I have a whole slew of games gathering dust right now because of how much I’m enjoying it.

Worth full price but i saw an ad on the MNF game last night that it's like half off right now so i would definitely encourage you to get it. Absolutely love this game. I'm in 2024 with my CFM right now and i love it. Most fun i've had in a Madden game since Madden 15.

I know man! I pre-ordered battlefield and got ea access for it and never even used my hours because i'm so into my CFM and can't get myself to play anything else.
