    Rebuilds, rebuilds, rebuilds

What do you guys think are the best teams to rebuild using the latest rosters?

I was gonna run with Denver but I feel that the Broncos would be a bit too easy.

I'm looking for somewhere where the coach is sure as gone at the end of the year or could be gone(not the Jets though, did them last year) because I wanted to a franchise as a coach.

What have you guys enjoyed so far that's also been really difficult?

Bengals could be interesting, mix of old and young players, could bring in own QB.

Bills- coach wonโ€™t be gone but need an offensive overhaul

    Baltimore/Tampa also come to mind

      Re: Rebuilds, rebuilds, rebuilds

I've been using a strategy lately.

You can choose whatever team you want to rebuild with.

ONLY Choose 4 players on the team you want to KEEP.
(I usually try to do 2 offense / 2 defense personally)

Unload ALL other players in the 75-99 OVR range.
Keep the rest of the team 75 - down.

Now you have one terrible team right? But also one heck of a challenging/fun rebuild.

I just build around that top 4 and make it fun and I certainly don't just choose the Top 4 OVR players but you can choose to.

I usually choose Top 4 players under 28 yrs old with high potential.

-Quick Example: Raiders- QB. Derek Carr / LT. Kolton Miller/ DT. Maurice Hurst / CB. Gareon Conley (WISH Khalil Mack was part of this top 4)

Browns- QB. Baker Mayfield / RE. Myles Garrett / LG Joel Bitonio / HB. Nick Chubb & then relocate them and change their boring Logo and uniforms. Lately I've done Columbus Aviators (if you wanna keep them in Ohio OR Chicago Blues - Cool team look etc.)

EDIT: CB Denzel Ward instead of Bitonio works too! Almost forgot him lol

These are just some ideas to make a challenging rebuild .. do as you want! I pretty much live to play Franchise all the time so I love to make things more challenging.

      You get my point!

        Re: Rebuilds, rebuilds, rebuilds

I just started a CFM with the Dolphins. There are some good young defenders to build with. Also, there is plenty of old players with high overall ratings that can be used to trade for current or future draft picks, which is what I did.

Just nailed the draft after my first season and got a star OLB, quick QB, star RG, and star HB.

It was a theft, I felt like, but the Dolphins are going to be filthy in 2 years in my CFM.

There's a lot of teams to choose from. I'm using the Giants (my favorite team) and have a 6-6 record, but would be out of the playoffs if the season ended today. Here's a quick breakdown.

Giants - Great receiver options and Saquon is a stud. OL needs a lot of work, as does the defense. You'll also be working to replace Eli after the first season through FA or the Draft.

              Kinda along these lines.
Since my team just parted ways with our coach, I want to go through this past week with the w/l results the same for everyone.

Can't figure out how I can retain using my owner, and create Joe Philbin to inrerim, then take over with my created Josh McDaniels, or Lincoln Riley. Any ideas?

                How about the Raiders?

Move them to Vegas and try and rebuild there.

Or the 49'ers in their fancy new stadium... they're having an aweful year.

No way to do that. You'd have to retire your owner and create the coach. If you wanted to go back to "owner mode", you wouldn't be able to do so because once you retire an owner, you are locked from creating a new owner with the same team. However, if you retire an owner, you can still create a new coach for that team.

That's what I thought, I just fired MM. Hired a random interim, and went from there.

I am trying to find a nice, but difficult team to rebuild. It doesn't even have to be super hard... I love passing the football and I want a team I could build a down field, vertical offense with, with a QB with a ton of arm power. And I would prefer coaching, but I am ok with being an owner; I just want to coach to go for the Xbox achievements. I would like a rookie QB or draft one, but if I must I will make do with a team that has one

Try the Cardinals. I am in year 8 of my sim rebuild. I have gotten to the point of being a contender finally. I rolled with Rosen for a few years but replaced him with a mid round QB until I found my guy. I am using tdawgs xp sliders with a few modifications and it has been a fun challenge. Have to make realistic moves/trades though. Plus the Rams stay good and it gives you a solid rivalry.

Rosen does intrigue me. Plus you are in a dome so no new stadium, David Johnson, you can trade Patrick Peterson for like a first... it is intriguing to me for sure... I kinda like the Lions too I am a huge Matthew Stafford fan (even though the Vikings are my team seeing as I am from MN) and they aren't ready to win, but they aren't completely terrible (at least in Madden).

That's close to what I did with the Lions. Of course some players the CPU won't trade for (mostly running backs) but I offloaded tons of guys like Stafford, Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, Ziggy Ansha and others.

Pick Run and Shoot as your scheme and use the corresponding playbook on O. Damn near every team in the league becomes a rebuild.
