Fisher out for 6-8 weeks

Mount Pleasant, MI - According to reports from the Central Michigan camp, Junior Linebacker Alex Fisher has fractured his left leg during practice. After the injury, he was taken to McLaren Central Michigan General Hospital to have a full diagnosis.

Apparently, during a run play in full-pads practice, Fisher went for the tackle on James Mitchell and his left leg ended up under the pile of roughly six or seven players.

According to doctors at McLaren, Fisher will need roughly 6 to 8 weeks to heal and won't be back until definitely after the game against Eastern Michigan and possibly the game against Michigan State.

This is not the first time Fisher has broken his left leg while playing football. Two years ago, during a game against Ball State, he broke his leg in the 3rd quarter and was out for the rest of the season.

When we asked for a comment and he declined, he was obviously frustrated and disappointed to miss the first bit of the season. We wish Alex all the best.
