In Tier 8, Central Michigan makes history with the first valid win in Tier 8. Other than the Chippewas, everybody lost this week and the two teams who won, Georgia State and Kent State, beat FCS opponents last week, which is not a valid win.

The Chippewas continue their season with a game in East Lansing against Michigan State on September 14.
