Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
Simply stated: how much "fun" are you having this year?93A0%16B0%16C0%28D0%13F0%20Tags: None -
Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
I‘ve voted „C“ but should have probably voted lower.
I boot up the game every day thinking I‘m going to have fun today just to turn it off angry and frustrated after a single Rec Center game played.
I‘m not yet at the point where the frustration is too big to stop playing but I‘m getting closer everyday as my guy/I am blowing way more easy baskets at the hoop than a few weeks ago and I feel my random teammates are getting worse/dumber also.
I‘ll give it a few more tries and probably transition to another game soon. -

C+ because of graphics, bells and whistles.
I can't for the life of me have consistent fun with this game, even playing the CPU. Balance is just weird. Online PvP is a trainwreck unless you have a consistent 5 and going for ProAm leagues.
Another year of, 'cant put my finger on it, but something just feels off'.

voted with "C"
same experiences like BenBobOmb
I think this game had so much potential at the launch, but now 3 months later it just a stupid arcade game with so many problems.
Anyway I really love to play basketball...but for me, it's definitely my last NBA 2k Game."Talent win games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships..."

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
B
It's not the modes or anything but I feel a lack of agency within the gameplay.
I think the game is more balanced at launch(particularly when it comes to online gameplay less so with the patch changes to offline) but I think the game lost the individual agency of our characters we had at launch.
I also think the patches prove that the sliders don't have as much dynamism in weight and power as much as the consumer would want in terms of adjusting the ball tangibility and foul rates.
Modes are good for the most part and they streamlined much of the waiting that we had from 2K18. MyLeague customization options and the Playground events are enough to give a good replay factor.
For me the only thing is I wish we got rewards for winning and maintaining a rank in the rank system(Pro Amateur system) or at least more rewards than for just playing the game(Road to 99).76 6"6" 180lbs Sharpshooting Playmaking SF

For the first time ever, I'm not having fun with the gameplay this year. I like the shooting but big men are dead and steals and some other stuff have been frustrating this year.
I put an F but probably should of been a D or C.SkillazKill

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
voted c.....
call me old fashion but the mode i play is still playnow offline against my mates and family..
this game mode vs another human feels tacked on to nba 2k19 myCarrer/neighborhood....
it just feels like a DLC and feels no different from 2k17/18
we keep saying the mode feels more arcade now with the take over system and the sluggish response to controller input and how weird shooting feels with the elimination of good releases on both FT and jump shotsLast edited by kolanji; 12-23-2018, 05:21 PM.Humans fear what they dont understand, hate what they cant concur i guess its just the theory of manComment

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
MyCareer modes suck and were such a let down compared to what the devs were saying leading up to the game. Since I only play that its a D from me because there were some glitches that at least meant i didnt have to grind mindless days against the AI. But gameplay is wack and I mostly only play because my friends are on 2k so they bug me about it.
Im sure all the As and Bs are people playing offline modes or something to that effect.51 & 55

I give it a B because the be a pro is far better than last year.
2k18's protagonist was horrifically annoying. What were they thinking casting a pee wee comic, with a high pitched voice, as a bball player. Not to mention B Fresh (shudder).Comment

Funny thing is, is that if Myleague was the only mode in this series now? It would be riddled with VC somehow. I would also expect a grind somehow to.Comment

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
I voted D, which really disappoints me compared to last year with 2K18 when I would've rated it a solid B. I'm just not having any desire to boot up 2K19 when I know I'll get frustrated halfway through a game. It's looking like 2K19 will by far be my least played 2K, even less than 2K17. For reference, 2K15 and 2K18 were my most played.Comment

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
It’s the time of the year where I usually purchase the new 2k but after seeing this thread I’m having second thoughts. I’m a fan of offline myLeague mode but this year would I be better off just using updated rosters with 2k18?Comment

Re: Compared to past iterations, what is the "fun" rating of 2k19?
Probably an B. If the scale is off of what we’ve played so far and not off a non tangible idea of where 2k can get to then i think this is the best 2k in a long time.
Shooting behind screens and limitless range still make this game not perfect but a lot of other things were fixed. I still do not like forced ankle breakers. If i don’t reach at all and play solid i feel like i should never get my ankles broken. How the hell am i getting broke when I’m giving my guy 5 feet of space because i know for a fact he’s trying to spam an ankle breaker animation? That’s makes no sense. When in your life have you seen a guy get broke from 5 feet away?
