    2019 Offseason Thread

Season is over for half of us so might as well get this started.

But yeah, per Adam Schefter, the Raiders are going to hire Mike Mayock as their GM and it could be announced as early as today.

Packers are requesting interviews with Josh McDaniels and Brian Flores of the Patriots.

Browns have reached out to Mike McCarthy and Brian Flores about their HC opening.

Are you sure it's the Dolphins? I heard Hurricanes.

The Canes HC job was filled rather quickly as their defensive coordinator backed out of the Temple job to stay there. Apparently Ryan believes he's a strong candidate for the Dolphins job thanks to his connections with Tannenbaum and has been contacting assistants to gauge their interest in coming with him to South Beach.

That's right, I literally keep forgetting that the Canes already hired somebody because of how quickly it happened.

              Rex Ryan?

I mean if you’re just trying to compete for 2nd place every year than I guess you can’t go wrong.

If nothing else the hire would make the Dolphins interesting for a short period of time. If the AFC East is going to stink year after year, at least give me some big personalities to be entertained by.

Until Brady and The Hood retire, they'd be competing for 2nd place every year no matter who they hire, outside of 1970s Don Shula.

Falcons have cleaned house of their Coordinators(Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams).

Dan Quinn will remain as HC in 2019.

This would come with a huge cap hit so it's unlikely but here we go:

Antonio Brown has requested a trade. Im told it was not a demand but he has asked to be dealt. Very unlikely Rooney would capitulate. Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger. Feels like the coach is too aligned with the QB.

20 mil in dead money seems to much for a trade. That and you don't want a Mack type deal.

Antonio Brown needs to grow up....Actually, so does Big Ben.

That Steelers locker room stinks from top to bottom.

Nothing per se but he's proven that he doesn't want to help out with any young QBs coming in (just witness his comments after they drafted Mason Rudolph) and his ambivalent comments regarding his career during the season last year and during the offseason. Ben has struck me as a guy who can be difficult to work with at times and he's got a very strong personality that clashes with the other high strung guys in that locker room.

In other news, Jim Bob Cooter has parted ways with the Detroit Lions and we can also forget about Lincoln Riley coming to the NFL as he signed a contract extension with OU.
