OS NBA 2K19 Shoe Vault - Discussion

I really hope one day we can appreciate what 2k is able to do for us and not complain so much about not having kicks in the game. Like I totally get it, but dudes let’s be real here. Can we simply just enjoy the game for what it is? For people that complain about 2k slacking as far as the shoe updates and the lack of colorways, do u even appreciate the fact that we have the ability to even customize them or be able to even have certain kicks in the game in general? It’s sad man how we as adults and I’m sure it’s some kids in here too, complain about something that really isn’t that serious. I know my words may not reach many people on here but for people that do read what I post and can understand where I’m coming from this is for you. After a while it’s gonna get to the point we gonna go from talking about being able to do something to “remember when we used to have or when 2k had this?” Like for example, many of us complained about 2k not having enough patterns for shoes in game, we get the new cement and other patterns and what happens, instead of appreciating it, people still complained about patterns they wish were in the game. Like I’m over it, whatever they add or don’t add is not gonna take away the fact that the people that complain the most will continue to buy the game. Makes no sense to complain. For that just don’t buy it or stop playing it.

Since last year I’ve continuously said that the devs for this game are lazy bums. Gameplay is solid can still work on stuff. But when it comes to shoes it’s a whole new level. They RARELY put new kicks in and if they do it’s 1 colorway. Last year they took FOREVER to put new styles in. Late in the year for the game they added a bunch of colorways which was nice. But then when 2k19 came out n you went to use that colorway for that shoe it was gone. I get you have to scan the shoes and what not but comeon pick up the pace. Some of us sneaker heads like to have up to date colorways and styles. This game is missing so many styles why keeping stupid styles in the game still. They rarely do any shoe updates anymore in years past they were adding the kicks right after they got a picture of them honestly. I hope that they add some new stuff but I’m not gonna get my hopes up anymore. But some people can agree with me. Then we’ll have the typical complaining people rant on about you should just love the game. We still love the game but we sneakerheads want the game to be even more realistic.

It’s crazy the entitlement I find, particularly when it comes to colorways when the competition gives us colorways and nothing else. We can edit shoes in this game, replicate real life colorways and our own. And people still complain and call the devs lazy.

That’s it, I’m done with the shoe vault. I can’t be bothered with y’all anymore.

So we cant enjoy the game but still expect more shoes/colorways to be added? Who's the aribitor on when we should be satisfied with the shoes added to the game?

This will be my last post on this thread. Take it for what it's worth:

The constant complaints and toxicity of this thread is the reason 2k/Brett don't frequent this thread anymore. And I don't blame them. Can you imagine how much better this thread would be without all this negativity? They would still be here and providing as much insight as they could to us. Nobody wants to be told how to do their job or that they are lazy. This thread as is offers NOTHING to 2k. Until the thread turns around and becomes something of value with input, constructive criticism, and good ideas then this is exactly what you'll continue to have. Nothing wrong with wanting more kicks/colorways, but if you don't get that when you want it, then understand that your complaining and bickering will not get it done any faster. It hasn't this far, so I can't imagine that would change.

Maybe you can keep this in mind as well...putting shoes in the game are not a high priority in the grand scheme of things for this game, and they probably never will be. Also, the team that puts in the shoes/colorways, (as hard as it may be to believe) that's not all that they do. They work on different aspects of this game, and I'm sure they're already working on things for 2k20. I don't know how far complaining and bickering gets you in life, but it won't get you very far here.

I agree. Ton of folks who've done nothing but whine. Their whining's clearly overshadowed the positive vibes the shoe thread had before.

I think one reason we have more complaining these days about shoes is the shoe creator is so outdated that it's worthless.. people use to post there shoe creations an formulas until new shoes came out.. Now only thing you can do is wait.. Don't get me wrong I want more shoes in game as well but it doesn't prevent me from enjoying the game

Word foreal like if we gonna complain let’s complain about the shoe creator lol.. like it’s been outdated for years but it never stopped me from trying to create something I can enjoy. See, what I tend to do with anything in life is try my best to work with what I have and not worry about what people think and what they have. I do what I can and take it from there. Most of the shoes I create are shoes I want the player to wear anyway.

Me too man, like it’s crazy how entitled most people feel when it comes to posting in this thread. I really wouldn’t mind the people that really appreciate the pictures of shoes and other things that naturally contribute to the thread, let’s start a new one elsewhere. I know someone had done it before but it didn’t last long, mainly bc I think not enough people knew about it. I feel like that’s one solution we could explore because I’m not gonna lie I like coming to this thread bc of the info that I may not catch myself while playing the game.
