Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
I have followed all of the steps from previous threads. I have also loaded new rosters before to my PS3 and it worked. When I get to the saved data on the PS3 system, the roster shows up but says file corrupt. I am not able to save it to the system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Tags: None -
Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
Load up the game and save the default roster file that loads automatically. Move that file to your usb and put the usb into your computer. Open the BLUS roster file folder you can download on here and copy the 4 files inside. Paste and overwrite these 4 files into the BLUS file folder from your PS3 on your usb. That should work when you go to move the new roster from your usb onto your PS3. Don't copy the actual BLUS folder to your usb and overwrite, as then your PS3 will read the roster file as corrupt. Copy and move the 4 files inside the folder, not the folder itself. -

Are you sure you moved the 4 files inside the BLUS... roster folder from this site into the BLUS... roster folder from your PS3? I think if you move the actual folder and overwrite your PS3 won't recognize it. You have to move and overwrite the 4 files within the BLUS...folders.Comment

Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
I just picked up 2k8 this week for nostalgic purposes and was creeping this sub about the new rosters which ultimately was my main decision for purchase. Glad yall are keeping this alive. I figured it out after searching around on how to actually download and configure the USB and what not. With the help of this final step I was able to make it happen. Thanks so much you guys are great!Comment

Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
Having the same issue now when I’m trying to add any roster (19/20, 15/16, etc) to my PS3. No matter whether I copy the entire PS3 folder to my USB, or just replace the BLUS folder within the PS3 —> SAVEDATA folder after downloading the generic 2k8 roster to my USB first, everything is showing as corrupt.
Even tried keeping the BLUS folder unchanged in my USB and replacing just the 4 files within it and still showing corrupt on my PS3.
Brand new USB. Restored PS3 to factory settings.
I’m using a work laptop and I’m worried that the downloaded files are being encrypted and preventing the PS3 from being able to read them.
Any ideas? Trying to get started on the 20/21 rosters for PS3.Comment

Yeah unfortunately the first thing I tried was downloading the entire PS3 file from online and adding that to the USB - no bueno. Gonna try this weekend with a non-work laptop. Thanks.Comment

In the event the extracted file was a BLUS folder, I just created an empty folder names PS3 and then created a subfolder named SAVEDATA inside the PS3 folder. Finally, I copied the BLUS folder inside the SAVEDATA folder.
Perhaps my system made it easier to process these steps than that of others...Comment

Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
I've used your method to use some of the the recent roster files posted on here. I don't remember it being that easy, so I'm not sure what changed.Comment

Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
I've seen people say save the default roster from PS3 to USB. How exactly do I do this? Having trouble so far as well. May go by a new USB, also using our laptop from home, don't know if that should matter.Comment

Re: Troubleshoot: How to Load New Rosters on PS3
First you save the default roster on the College Hoops 2k8 game. It'll save to your PS3. After you do that, leave College Hoops 2k8, go to the PS3 home menu. If you have your USB plugged in, you should be able to see it when you go to the Playstation home menu. To get the default roster onto your USB, you copy it from your PS3 and put it to your USB. I believe you do this by pressing Triangle on the default roster.Last edited by IUxHOOSIERS; 11-14-2020, 08:49 PM.Comment
