Not true. They signed him to a 1 year deal in the hopes that he gets cleared to play. If he doesn't, they own his rights until he is cleared. They are making a great move, outside of
PR issues, to buy low and hope he gets to play. There is literally no way to know if he plays and they just got a top RB for nothing and 0 risks other than the
PR hit.
The Jags still have Blackmon on the roster, why because it costs nothing and if he ever decided to try to comeback, they still had his rights.
