Who else is taking a Show Day tomorrow?

Just thought I'd check to see how many other fans will be taking off for the release of the Show tomorrow?

I wasn't going to, but decided that with all that has happened in my life in the last few weeks, that I needed a video game day to escape reality and just relax and be entertained.

I still haven't decided if I'm taking off the rest of the week or not. I am scheduled to do so, but I do care about my job and getting things done, so I'm not sure that will happen, but at least for 24 hours, I'll be doing nothing but playing baseball.

Pick up the game tonight from Gamestop at 9pm, download and see if this 40 year old body can still pull an all night gaming session...
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'm 37 and have zero chance of pulling an all nighter. I did, however, take today, tomorrow, and Wednesday off to enjoy The Show. There's only so much growing up I'm willing to do.

Damn I’m jealous of all you guys. My daughter is getting married this summer so no way I can afford a day off. Gotta save those vacation days for that week.

Oh well, getting the game after work tomorrow and it’ll be a late night for me at least.

Normally, I would be taking the day off but every year it seems that the entitlements are broke. I will probably take a day off next week after they fix the game.

I always take the day off. I won't stay up late tonight but I will be there tomorrow morning playing pretty much all day.

I usually take the day, but I will only be taking a half day this year. I own/work in a comic book store with my best friend. Tuesdays are when we get new comics in and have to do inventory and pulls for new comic day on Wednesday. My friend has a school function for his daughter so I will take the morning off and then come in at 1 so we can get our stuff done, then let him take off to be with his kid.

I just turned 51, lord where does it go, yesterday and have been a gamer since there have been games. When I was kid there was literally nothing except pinball and APBA and Strato O Matic for playing Baseball. To see this entire industry develop over the course of my life has been pretty incredible. Probably why I don't sweat some of the smaller details that a lot of you younger guys do. I don't wait on rosters or sliders. By the time those guys get started I will be a month into it and playing happily in my own baseball universe.

I used to take a "show day" but I have 2 weeks of PTO planned for a summer trip to Europe with the fam in June. I work overnights and my work week starts Tuesday night so ill try to get as much time in with the Show on Tuesday. Ill fire the game up tonight and play a few games as well.

Turn 41 on Thursday. In the past, I have taken a nap prior to a games release at midnight (including for the Show) and then gotten up and played for a few hours before work. I discovered with the release of The Division 2 that I am no longer able to do that as I was so tired the rest of the day. I have not taken a day off for a game since Destiny 1.

I'm considering working from home tomorrow and gaming in-between calling into meetings. I turn 43 on Sunday so I feel like it's my gift to myself

I got the game Saturday at noon and played until about 5 pm. Then went to the movies and hung out and didn't get home until about 5:30 am. I set my alarm for noon but slept right through it and woke up at about 4 pm! Then I barely got a chance to play as I had to do laundry and do a few things around the house before bed (wake up at 4:30 am for work).

So I didn't get to play as much as I wanted. Now I'm sitting at work daydreaming about The Show and wishing I was home playing.
