OS Arbitration Panel 2019 Thread

From pistolpete, unto Pokerplaya, unto AC, unto me.

Welcome, everyone, to the 2019 Arb panel thread! This thread was a tremendous success last time around (been about 5 years or longer!), although got side tracked at one point or never got back off the ground.

The point of this thread is to bring another element into trading in MLB 19: The Show. The negotiation element. Now, rather than just discussing trades in the trade thread (which serves its own outstanding purpose), you can actually negotiate trades with the 'reps' of another team, as if you were an actual GM, negotiating with another actual GM. As we know, the CPU trade logic can be... let's go with, 'faulty.' The human element can really prevent some of the worse parts of the AI.

One thing that wasn't made very clear last year was that EACH TEAM MAY HAVE AS MANY REPRESENTATIVES AS POSSIBLE. THERE IS NO LIMIT. So just sign up with whatever team you choose, but be advised: YOU MAY ONLY CHOOSE ONE TEAM. This created some confusion last year as well...

Here are some quick guidelines:

1.) Most obviously, the TOS must be followed at all times.

2.) Please use THIS template when making an offer to another rep:

TO: (Organization Name) Representatives!
FROM: (Organization Name) Player!

RE: Negotiations involving (Player) or (Players)

*In the body of the message, put your offer, and give the stats necessary, while explaining why you think the trade shall go through.*

3.) Please make an offer. Don't 'inquire about the availability' of a player, make your offer. No "how much for _______ kthxbye"

4.) Provide all vital stats, and any stats of the players that may be asked for. Team record, ERA, BA, OBP, etc..

5.) This is just a video game. If you disagree, please, do it respectfully.

6.) There is to be NO third-party-commentary on any trades from anyone.

7.) Please, while this is incredibly subjective, no Brett Cecil for Mike Trout trades. Don't try to rip off your fellow OSers; Try to be somewhat realistic and as fair as possible.

8.) The rosters and statistics used during negotiations will be that of the poster who began the discussions.

9.) If a team has at least two representatives, and gets an offer proposed to it, the representative that responds first will handle the negotiations.
