Dribble Handoff or Handoff Pass

Is this control not in the game anymore? I remember all you needed to do was hold the pass button and a teammate would come to you and you would hand the ball off to him. But that doesnt work anymore. Are the controls different or did they just take it out of the game?

It's still in the game, switch full receiver control to handoff in the controller settings.

I love dribble hand off plays. When they give you the option of dribble hand off or normal pass. I almost always go dribble hand off.

What I wish they added though was screen right after the hand off happens. Adds a little bit to it.

I love dribble hand off plays. When they give you the option of dribble hand off or normal pass. I almost always go dribble hand off.

What I wish they added though was screen right after the hand off happens. Adds a little bit to it.

Please could you explain me the difference since I choose dribble hand off or normal pass in that option?
I don’t understand what changes in term of gameplay.

Is there a way to do a fake handoff?

No specific button input but I always just use the fake pass button combination right as the player is coming around for the handoff, works well and looks some what decent animation wise.

I believe it's Y + B for Xbox and triangle + circle for PlayStation.

No, you can only pass to the receiver a head of time. That's why I said they could be a expansion on this feature.

In terms of game nothing changes. The only thing that changed what happens when you press circle or B button. By default when you press the B button you turn into receiver mode you change into the player your want to receive the ball. When you release the button the pass is made. The ball handoff calls the pass receiver to the ball handler if you release it early. The pass is made. If you hold it all the way through a dribble handoff will happen.

Ha, Guess I never thought of that. But your right it doesn't look clean. But it's the same effect of your trying fake. Or your opponent is playing the passing lanes.

Is there a way to handoff to another user? I usually lock to one player and team up with friends, but when I run handoff plays and hold B, I get a regular bounce pass, which ruins the play entirely.

You’re right about the screen, that’s part of what makes the dribble handoff so effective irl. It seems like the CPU has this ability though when they run them

You might have to ask someone else. I'm not 100% on here. I don't play my player anything.

Yeah I've brought up a few times. I'm sure it's going through it testing or something. I've been bring it up for the last few years.
