I really hope with Madden's new Face of the Francise mode that they've completely overhauled create a player in this year's game. I don't know about you guys but I have found it to be extremely lazy by the Madden team that for years now all we get to select from are a few standard heads and faces and that's it. You play any other sports game and there's a ton of different options to let you create truly unique heads and faces and then you play Madden and you don't get any kind of options. You just pick one that they created and their creations aren't the best in the world. I can't be the only one that has had a problem with this, especially since it's been the case forever now.

Certainly the create-a-player system currently available is archaic , and it would be nice if the system portrayed has replaced it .
I can see no good reason why it hasn't, but this is madden so .....Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon .... No matter how good you are , the bird is going to **** on the board and strut around like it won anyway . -

Yep. We are always taking about things like franchise mode and presentation. I remember the first time I played Madden 2001 on the PS2 I was absolutely blown away by the presentation. Remember how awesome it was to see things like individual player introductions and such.
Then they also a year or two later introduced owner mode aspect of franchise mode. That was awesome!! The PS2 versions of Madden were always my favorites. In fact, I'm in the process of buying an old PS2 so I can play Madden and other class PS2 games. IMO the PS2 is possibly the greatest game system ever!!Atlanta Braves

Yes. I just posted about this in another thread. I’ve been asking for this since it was removed. I really hope you can edit any created players faces.
You are completely right. Every other sports game has a pretty good player editor. But maddens is garbage. I mean even in the ps2 days we could do some basic editing of the face. And choose hair types.
I get it that with football players have helmets on. Oat of the time. But still. It’s so past overdue.
Yes yes yes. I haven’t bought a new madden in years. Still play the ps2 maddens and especially the ps2 ncaa games. I love them. Just so much more character with those games. And I believe they still have better animations too. I spend a good bit of time in reply mode watching some of these plays. And how they look so fluid and natural. Blows my mind how madden looks worse in motion now. How?Comment

Yes, absolutely!!! The animations on the PS2 Madden and NCAA games look so much better!! I remember the first time I played Madden on PS3 I was stunned at how awful the players looked while running. That hasn't really gotten better on the PS4 version. It's crazy how they just look so weird while running. They look like the old N64 version of NFL QB Club. I know exactly what your talking about. I remember the first madden on ps3. I was young. And unbelievably excited for it. Not knowing anything about it. Or seeing anything about it. I popped it in. Just thinking about how good the ps2 games where. And imaging how good this was going to be. And being incredibly disappointed. I remember creating my character and only having like 10 premade heads to choose from. And that even being a huge disappointment.

Hopefully that new face creation for FOTF applies to creating players in the roster/draft classes AND for when you create your coach. We have got to get away from those generic presets.Comment

I haven't gotten Madden for a while because of the minimal effort to franchise mode.
On creating players/draft classes, can you do fun hair colors like some games (NBA 2K)? If I want Blue or bright Red hair, are those options?Comment

I highly doubt that EA will put in the work required to be able to create truly unique faces in CAP. I kind of understand too. Unlike MLB and NBA, they would put all that work into faces in a NFL game only to have them covered by helmets 97% of the time.

You can't do that? (Haven't got Madden for a few years because weak Franchise Mode.) So you just select a character and it has all things set?
