    Changing Team/Stadium Names

I'm currently working on my Fictitious Roster and am wanting to change all of the teams names to fictitious names. I know that it's possible to edit team names. For example, on the updated rosters that are worked on year round, Army was changed to "Army West Point" and it shows up in games. But, I also want to change the stadium names as well. So, I have a couple of questions:

    1) Has anyone ever tried this before?

    2) If so, does changing the Team name or Stadium name completely cause the game to freeze up or is it merely cosmetic?

    3) What fields must be edited for the changes to show up in the game?

I did a small test where I changed both Air Force and Akron and gave them fictitious names. I changed the Team ID, Team Name, Team Long Name, Team Mascot Name, Nickname and Team Short Name. I then clicked "Recalculate Maps" and when I went to the "Team Rival ID" field, it automatically updated and it shows the new fictitious school name so that's good.

I just don't want to make all these changes and then when I load it up the game freezes...I'm doing this at work so I can't test it on the game right now. Thanks.

ETA: Right after posting this, I went to the Player tab and it was still showing "Air Force" in the Player ID field. I clicked "Recalculate Maps" and it automatically updated to the new fictitious school name so that was good to see.

I have changed some stadium names and attendance capacity figures with no problem but I have not tried making changes to the extent that you are.

I did also try to change the name of a Teambuilder team midseason and that did not work.

I think I could use a job like yours too.

Did the Stadium name changes show up in game? If so what fields did you change to make it happen?

I changed UL Lafayette to Louisiana, but then the announcer stopped calling them by name.

I’ve changed stadium names as well. Once I even added “Old Gray Lady” UAB stadium’s nickname (like 2011) and Reese Davis said it! I’m not sure if I caused this to happen or if he refers to the generic stadium that way.

Which editor did you use to edit? i tried to edit my offline dynasty that contained teambuilder teams and I could not get it to open. FYI, I have no issues editing otherwise
