Why do you play on alts?

I understand it for people like Martial, but for everyone else, why? Its lame to me in honesty. Was this a big thing in UFC 2 also?

I sometimes play on an alt account if I want to improve at something. For instance, I am relatively speaking worse at clinch than striking/grappling so I practice it on another account with worse MMR.

in general I'll use an alt to mess around with Clay Guida or Will Brooks and other randoms for fun and to practice while also facing better competition than ill find in a quick match.

on my primary account I'll use only my mains for the most part.

It was done in UFC 2 as well, just not as well known.

I used my brothers account as an alt to find my Imposter RomeroXVLL and beat the brakes off of him. For someone who's growing their own channel, having somebody play toxic the way he does hurts when it goes the opposite of what I generally 'preach' on my channel. I had to get a premium Avatar just to differentiate.

But I noticed that people were playing me differently if they didn't know it was me. On my main account people were less likely to spam me or try to do any exploits since I would and will expose them + and find a way how to deal with it. Just this morning, I decided to do a game on my alt before work, and when I l knocked the dude down three times he 'rage quit' and did the no loss glitch, I'll be uploading that soon.

Now I generally use the alts to experiment in different weight classes, different playstyles, and to figure out the meta when the season changes.

Re: Why do you play on alts?

To lay on unsuspecting top players. Usually the element of surprise allows me to grab them and flip them on their head immediately when the first round starts. So i get a head start, win the first round, barely edge out the second round. By the third round they probably know who I am due to the constant clinch attempts, leg kicks, and utter lack of any actual striking skills. At which point they begin to **** me up but it’s too little too late and I cop that W like a gangsta.

I then message them afterwards saying “I just started playing yesterday. I’m glad I got an easy fight, I wouldn’t have been able to do that to a skilled opponent”.

No just kidding I don’t do **** like that. I used to back in the day though, good times

Sidenote is everyone on this forum just afraid? Like people wanna just talk all the time and never actually arrange fights? This is an MMA game, and we’re on an MMA forum. Why are people not arranging matchups?

I’ll play anyone on here. I wanna fight the best guys here. Romero, ZombieRommel. I’m one of the more realistic players on this game, don’t worry about cheese or whatever.

Its an exploit that has never been fixed (wonder why?)

                            Alright, 'knee spam':

Knees: Can be caught into either a strike, a trip for body and long term stam damage, or for a takedown.

Planted Straight Lead Uppercuts kill the start up for the knee, or if they miss the knee, jab hook during those recovery frames.

If they're lunging at your with the knee, it's an easier window to catch, and lunge to the side. Lunging to the opposite side of the leg where the knee is coming up will avoid any potential tracking issues that I've scorned them about

Whiffing a knee from a terrible range gives you range for an EASY low single.

Use the minor step to step back out of knee range to land a free straight (this takes some time to learn how to do + and you have to know your ranges)

Everybody hates the knees, but those things are far from exploits, they're just annoying, like side kicks, but those are easier to counter and come with devastating punishment.

                            Exploits are:

The Arm Trap Stam Drain exploit.

The Jab Feint to glide across the Octagon with the body straight since it will ignore the striking logic that was implemented in season 3.

This is the most useless exploit, but if it's anything it's to make it seem like you got more TDs than you actually did, driving somebody to the cage so the scoreboard says you got a TD, even though it does absolutely nothing for the scoring because it does no damage.

You were literally one of the guys who were boasting about kneeing and throwing side kicks at people with Jon Jones when they 'pressured' you because they're not 'respecting your distance' and you were annoyed because the majority of the Xbox community were calling you Side Kick Knee Hammer, mocking you for you claiming that you fight realistic, and AirCombo Hammer. Now when ZombieRommel did it to you, it's spam. Make up your mind.
