Definitely have some slider issues here. Probably will make some tweaks but I don't want to make big changes in the middle of a season. Also I may change my quarter length too.

SR WR ADAM SAVOIE CELEBRATES A 73 YARD THIRD QUARTER TOUCHDOWN RECEPTION

"I'm not sure who the ******* is that decided it was alright to give us three days off between games." Louisiana head coach Porter Davis said after his teams win over Georgia State. "But I hope we sent some sort of a message out there today."

Louisiana topped Georgia State by a final score of 41-24 in a game that was made to look much closer than it really was by a pair of late scored by Georgia State.

Louisiana led 16-6 after the first quarter with scores coming via a five yard run by Brooks Haack and a four yard run by OL/FB Dominick Bilich. Two point conversions were successful after each touchdown.

Georgia State's score came on a one yard run by sophomore runningback Kyler Neal. Their two point conversion attempt failed.

A pair of field goals by Georgia State kicker Wil Lutz sandwiched a pair of second quarter touchdowns by the Ragin' Cajuns. Kyle Hicks scored from a yard out and Brooks Haack connected with Montrell Carter for a 22 yard score. Louisiana failed on both of those two point conversion attempts.

"Just a strategy we wanted to try." Davis said when asked about the two point conversion attempts. "Something we've spent some time analyzing."

Haack connected with senior receiver Adam Savoie for a 73 yard score in the third quarter then added an 18 yard touchdown pass to Darren Guerrero in the fourth quarter, making the score 41-12 before Georgia State added a pair of garbage time touchdowns to make it a 41-24 final score.

Georgia State managed a total of 325 yards of offense against Louisiana, the most the Cajuns have given up in some time.

"I mean we had three days off." Davis explained. "Do you have any idea how asinine it is to schedule a team with three days off?"

Louisiana will have a normal number of days off before hosting Troy on November 7th.

AJ JEFFERSON'S THIRD QUARTER FUMBLE RECOVERY HELPED DECIDE THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME

For the first time this season Louisiana won a game by less than two touchdowns as they held on against a tough Troy team to claim a 17-7 win at home.

"They're a good team. Probably the best we've seen. Well coached too." Louisiana head coach Porter Davis said after the game. "We'd seen that they lost a couple close ones but they had a pretty good streak going and most of their wins had been by a good margin. We knew we had to strap up."

The Cajuns struggled offensively, scoring less than 35 points for the first time this season.

"Had some untimely drops here and there and some missed blocks. Took a few sacks we maybe shouldn't have but credit to their scheme and execution as well." said Louisiana's offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said after the win.

The Cajuns' offense put up touchdowns in each of the first two quarters while the defense managed to hold Troy scoreless until the third quarter when true freshman runningback Bryant Williams broke a pair of tackles en route to a 20 yard touchdown. Williams had two consecutive receptions over twenty yards to set up the score.

"Williams had a heck of a game." Davis admitted. "We didn't have an answer for him. Heck of a player."

Louisiana's scores had come via a 17 yard Brooks Haack to James Moody touchdown pass in the first quarter and a three yard Haack run in the second.

Following Williams' score Louisiana ended up punting. After a 12 yard Dallas Tidwell pass to Williams and an incompletion Cajuns linebacker George Williams hit Tidwill on a blitz and forced a fumble. Junior tackle A.J. Jefferson won the race to the ball and recovered it for Louisiana on the Troy 30. The takeaway eventually led to a 24 yard field goal by freshman Jeffrey Yatkowski, who had missed from a similar distance earlier in the game.

After exchanging punts Troy put together a threat after Tidwell completed a pass to Clark Quisenberry for a gain of 33 yards to the Cajuns 2 yard line.

Troy McCollum dropped Tidwell for a loss of one on a scramble then Tidwell lost five on the next play after a poorly executed read option keep.

Tidwell completed a pass to junior fullback Joshua Anderson down to the four yard line.

On fourth and goal Tidwell connected with tight end Tommy Blevins on a drag but George Williams and Jamal Rainey collapsed on him and stopped him on the three yard line. After that Louisiana was able to run out the clock on the legs of runningbacks Kyle Hicks, Effrem Reed and Montrel Carter.

Gritty win against a really good team. We missed some plays but we made the plays we had to when it mattered and we came away with the win today. I definitely saw some players growing out there today.

SKIP BAYLESS: “LOUISIANA AND HEAD COACH PORTER DAVIS ARE THE BIGGEST FRAUDS IN SPORTS”

                            By Micheal Flaherty

Yesterday on his ESPN show “First Take” host Skip Bayless went on a lengthy rant directed at Louisiana and head coach Porter Davis after a discussion on the newest top 25 poll.

“I think Louisiana is extremely overrated!” Bayless shouted. “They're frauds! Their coach is the biggest fraud of all!”

Bayless went on to criticize Davis' for “being horrible at EMU” in 2013 and stated that he's only been successful because of “inheriting good players that someone else recruited” and “being the best team in the worst conference.”

Bayless voiced his opinion that any of the other teams in the top 25 would beat Louisiana and that he hoped the team would be exposed before they “get a chance to sneak into the National Championship game and ruin it”.

He stated that all the one and two loss teams behind Louisiana in the top 10 should be higher and even stated loudly that #11 Arkansas with a 6-4 record was a better team.

Stephen A. Smith, Bayless' co-host, yelled back at Bayless but could not be heard as Bayless did not offer an opportunity for Smith to offer a counter point. Smith did look to be in disagreement.

Louisiana head coach Porter Davis first smirked and replied “No comment.” when asked about the rant. He later commented that “Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.” and that Bayless should “stick to basketball since he was so good at that.”

Louisiana is currently 8-0 with games against South Alabama, Texas State, Arkansas State and Louisiana-Monroe to finish out their regular season schedule. Texas State is currently 5-3 and the other three teams are all 4-4.

Earlier in the season a report came out that Louisiana was considering a move to another conference following the season. Bayless commented on the report during his rant, claiming that Davis and his players and staff would get exposed and quickly fired against tougher competition.
