They actually fixed the DH pitcher bug.

Sweet! Just picked up the game a couple days ago on sale and with gamers club at Best Buy for $32 but was waiting to open until the DH bug was fixed. Now just have to decide what team to be for a franchise.

The fixes from this patch officially makes MLB The Show 19 a top 5 all-time sports video game for any console in my opinion, and I'm an old guy who goes all the way back to the Atari 2600 days. LOL. What do y'all think?

I'll wait a bit before I celebrate, just to make sure the DH bug is actually gone.

Two patch notes I also would've really liked to have seen:

Added the white panel batting cap for the blue Jays to be worn when the white panel fielding cap is chosen by the player.

Added the hold x to skip feature to cutscenes involving an injury.

Other than that yeah I'm excited to play on this patch. The Show still has a ton of legacy issues and a long way to go to be perfect, but I can get behind calling it the best sports game.

After playing a couple games this morning, post patch.
The Good - CPU does make substitutions in ST now.
The Bad - simmed to my first ST gaming against an AL team and Shelby Miller was the Angels DH.

This is in a carryover franchise from 14 that I just started ST last night. However, a different version of the same franchise where I was already in the regular season I simmed ahead and the Twins did start a position player as there DH.

Maybe it's just an Angels glitch now because Miller is their ace.

I took Ridins latest roster and, started a new season. He’s a pitcher only. Took the latest live roster and he’s a position player only. That what you’re looking for?
