In terms of content and cards, MyTeam has been the best maybe ever in 2K and I would definitely recommend starting.

In terms of team talent, it depends on how good you're talking about. At this point in the year, diamonds are going for as little as 2-3K MT and pink diamonds as little as 8K. But if you wanted a team of galaxy opals and such, the cheapest is currently 40K and you would probably have to spend a little money.
